I've got some of the black-button, and clearance autos, plus the newer single-logo ones, and they seem to work fine on the slim chargers (like the diamond/stealths), with no need to flip plugs around: with the charger plugged in and showing green, I screw the batt in till its LED flashes. If the LED on the slimcharger does not turn red in a couple seconds, then give it up to a 1/4 turn more and the LED will turn red. After a while, you'll get brief green flashes over the red about once per second... and an hour or so later, all green.

odd that there's enuff contact to make the LED on the batt flash, but not enuff to start the charge.

Plarkinjr sir the light doesn't come on at all (red or green) in the instances we're talking about....

I understood that. Was just offering my differing data point. Maybe there's more than one generation of slimline charger? Or its related to household current variations? Or planetary alignment?

Don't believe there are sir. Only new version would be the black one, which still suffers from the same problem at times. Still can't pin down exactly what causes it, just know how to fix it (just like with the switch reset for the king diamond v2's. Have no idea why the post reset method works, just that it does).

Yez, dear, I know you're a he. I am teasing you. :)

Dear Morinder ma'am  ,

I rarely pop in here any more except when I'm ordering batts, but really have to tell you that your extremely thorough review was most helpful, and thanks.
Hi everybody, almost two years vaping for me now, let's have a blingbatt party!

Love,
Ms Sir Pope His/Her Excellency Aubergine

Wanted to do a slight update (promise the stealth info is coming soon everyone, it's been rough lately). Ordered a king diamond xl with a purple led. As you might remember the auto kd's used both a blue and red led to make the purple. This made for a very royal purple glow, but also made them last around 10-15% shorter per charge than their other colored brethren. On these the led is again a uv purple. Just one led this time around. What this translates to is the battery lasts just as long as any other colored led I've tried. Case in point:

10 run average with a 2.3ohm wow carto red led kd xl- 280.6 minutes run time
10 run avg. with a wow carto at 2.3ohm purple led xl- 280.4 min run time

Haven't had a chance to do the voltage runnings yet, but will soon. :)
