Also Plan, I noticed from your signature that you are nearing a year smoke-free. I rarely pay attention to sigs. but now I get to congratulate you!

Thanks for the congrats. I should say that that is not all that accurate, as I've had probably 5 or 6 packs worth of smokes in that time.

It would be accurate to say that I've been cigarette addiction free for almost a year, and only smoke socially now, and that on rare occasions.

I keep the sig going because I like to compare my savings by not smoking with my expenditures on e-cig related stuff. So far, it would be cheaper to smoke, but not nearly as much fun.

Ah yes, cost savings was not my motivation and I don't think I have realized any savings (kind of stopped keeping track). What I have gained is health, a new fun hobby, knowledge that I have helped the US and European economies, and have ended up with a bunch of fine e-cig buddies on this Forum (priceless).

And oh yeah, I bet I smell better too

That's one thing I pick up on now that I never did before. I can really smell smoke on people. I hate to think how I smelled as a smoker.

I never ever wanted to become an ex-smoker with hang-ups but every so often I get a whiff of old smoke and think, "Geez, that stinks!" Luckily I don't verbalize it and I know you won't tell either. Smokers are so persecuted in our society that I was hell bent on smoking just to not give in to the pressure. I still think it's abhorant when someone goes out of their way to tell someone that is smoking that it is bad for them! That happened to me once and luckily I had the presence to not cold .... them and simply stated, "oh really, I had never heard that before..."

But Yep, it does kinda stink.....

i'm snarky about it with people i know. "that stuff'll kill you!" is usually just enough to be obnoxious without getting punched in the mouth.

oh, btw, we played cards against humanity the other night with some friends (have you guys seen this game???) and i think the politically incorrect,quasi abusive,borderline disturbing nature of it rubbed off on me a little too much.....
