True but cheaper to just buy a couple of bus passes. One for the daughter and 1 for the wife

Well with what you save on gas, insurance and car repairs you can afford a really nice couch and a new big screen tv ;-)

Probably could. I know my insurance tripled once my son got his license. That included our discounts for him keeping 4.0 grade avg

Yikes. Lucky for me that for some reason insurance on girls is cheaper. It's not great but we already got a quote from our company just so we would have an idea of what we will be getting into.

It probably helps that your not in Cali. He but considering he did manage to total his mothers jeep and they had to pay for a new one I did get my money's worth

Yikes! I hope he was ok.

Yeah he was fine. Just hit a patch of ice and sent it off the canyon. They totaled it because he ripped the axles of the frame. I was going to maim him myself but they have me 3 grand more then I paid for it so I let him live

Lucky for him that the replacement value was high.

Yes that one worked in his favor. It helped that I had gotten a really good deal on it to begin with then they added in the value of work I had done to it myself. I did remove him from my insurance policy so they agreed not to raise my rates. What really got me was it was his 3rd trip thru that patch. He was in a hurry to get to his girlfriends house. Hit the ice to fast. Saved it then sped up and lost it. Panicked and hit the brakes.

That's too bad. I grew up in Ohio and we had plenty of bad weather to learn to drive in. Nothing takes the place of experience.

True. This kid just won't learn. Mechanical stuff and him doesn't get along. If I gave him an anvil for Christmas he would break it in a week

Just give him a rubber mallet with it then it should last a while.

He would just break the handle off the mallet. He is good kid and super book smart. Just not mech inclined

Well, not everyone can be. I wasn't really growing up either but learned thru the school of hard knocks.

Lol. He is professional student. The tow truck drivers just look at him and say " take it to your dads place and add it to the line " there is about 3 cars lined up out back that I have to fix for him when I get parts. I just rotate them for him. The tow it here and give him a ride. He jumps in whichever one has keys and takes off again
