First of all, thanks to everyone in advance for any help you can provide. I would have started a new thread, but I'm a new user. So, sorry if this is hijacking, or if this has already been mentioned before---couldn't find it through Google or the ECF search function.

I just got a classic from DietSmokes and was happy with the speed of service. However, after working with the weird battery charging cycle, my first impressions leave me wondering if I've got a bum part, or suffering from user error.
When I smoke the classic, the draw on the automatic switch has to be quick and hard to produce any vapor. If I draw lightly, the LED turns off very quickly, which I'm assuming means the battery turns off. The manual switch has to be held for a long time to produce any vapor. Am I doing something wrong?
When I do get vapor and inhale, my exhale breath looks like that of a normal cigarette. Weak and stale. Everyone's video reviews looks like they're puffing on a hookah! How do I get that kind of vapor? So far, no clouds of vapor and no nicotine hit with my classic.

I'll have to try the second battery when it is done with it's initial charge cycle. What do you seasoned classic users think? Is it a bum battery, bum switches? Should I get a generic atomizer (I've heard the classics aren't that good)? Am I doing something wrong?

Many thanks,
Jeff

My KB produces decent vapor, but is not a monster like DIY high-voltage vaping devices.

Smoking juices produce differing amounts of vapor, so do try other brands of juice and see if you get more (or less) vapor.

I only use the manual switch with my KB. I often will hold it down for 6-8 seconds per draw. I find vapor production pretty good with the KB and manual switch, but have found the KB atomizers draw too easily for me (too much air flow). I use other generic 801/penstyle atomizers.

Most cut-offs are around 5-7 seconds. I agree that the auto switch cuts out too soon which is why I like the manual switch.

If you have any concerns at all, contact Parked at Dietsmokes. I am assuming your KB comes with a one year warranty on parts even though you didi not buy it from JantyUSA.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have some JCSJ on the way, even though there were some issues with some orders. I really wanted to sample a bunch of different flavors, and their intro to e-smoking package looked neat.

Do your 801 style atomizers fit the Janty cartridges snugly? Or do you just use 801 carts (I don't know if there's a difference)?

Also, I noticed if I drip I get a bit more vapor. Do you get decent vapor from cartridges? Dripping is a bit of a hassle for me when I'm not at home.

I'll keep contacting Parker in mind. I haven't tried my second battery yet, so that will help clear up a bit of confusion regarding which, if any, parts are working improperly. I might order an 801 atomizer too.

Great questions.

I use penstyle atomizers from Puresmoker and VaporGuys on my Kissbox. I just ordered another one from JuicyLiquid to try out.

Also, I noticed if I drip I get a bit more vapor. Do you get decent vapor from cartridges? Dripping is a bit of a hassle for me when I'm not at home.

If I am in front of the computer or sitting around at home, I drip. When I am out in the 'real world', I use cartridges and top off, as needed. Yes, I do get respectable vapor from cartridges, but I do top them off frequently.

Janty batteries do not last very long for me. Unfortunately, you can only use their batteries with the KB. That is why I primarily have my KB attached to the Janty Pass-Through connected to my laptop. I generally use another penstyle system (atomizers, batteries, Kensington Portable Power Pack and PS USB pass-through) when I am out of the house for extended periods.

If you have any DIY skills, definitely try to build one of the 901 Magnum mods, but use an 801/penstyle atomizer connector. Inexpensive to build and super throat hit and vapor production. I use mine for a few hits and move back to the KB while the atomizer cools down on the Magnum.

Well, thanks to everyone for the help. I'm just really discouraged with the Kissbox classic. I sent an e-mail through the DietSmokes web site to see if I can return it.

I tried a friend's 901 tonight and it was simply *amazing*. It hit like a real cigarette, and I got a nic hit about 7 puffs in, like I usually do with a Marlboro.

Thanks again, breakfastchef!
