I woke up in a rare mood to buy supplies. What's with all the Kits lately?? I click on Mods at a supplier, that's what I want! I don't want yer dang sub ohm tank! And why the low ohm factory coils? Who wants factory coils on a mech-mod? Why sell the super low ohm at all when you can just crank the power up? How about just two coils - a 1.5 and a 0.5? On a tank with fully adjustable airflow and 2 driptips? And you can keep the 2ml tanks too!
I guess I woke up cranky :). I had more fun shopping for phones and data plans yesterday than this.

Yeah the kit thing is starting to get out of hand. I think they want to essentially force you to at least try their tank so they can make $$$ selling you overpriced crap coils. My wife wanted the Aspire Skystar mod, but had to buy it as a kit, b/c only 1 place online sold it individually and it was a Chinese shop, and she didn't want to wait 3 weeks for it. Of all the "kit" tanks this one comes with probably the WORST in the biz, the Revo tank. We didn't even bother taking it out of the box other than for a quick look over and put it back. To think, I paid $30 more for a piece of trash neither of us will ever use.

Yeah, we should start a tank swapping group somewhere. I could maybe see those new big egos having matching tanks as a starter kit.

Not sure what you are looking for, but I always check VapeNW. On many/most of their "kits", when you select "options", you have the choice of just the mod or the kit. I've purchased a kit sometimes when the cost to add a tank is as little as $10 figuring that is cheap enough to give it a try. A tank with a couple coils that should last for a month or so for $10? I'm fine with that even if I throw it in the trash in a few weeks.

And to be fair, maybe other vendors have that in their options. I never bothered to check.

Sure diffrent strokes and all that but ..
I have the revvo tank and it is at least for me pretty awsome. It chucks clouds right up there with my griffin's and the vape is vary consistant dense and moist. I have had it about a week and still going strong on 1st coil.
sure the capacity is 2 dang small but that's really the only con I can level at it.
The coil is vary effective at what it does so it will go through juice faster then a less effective coil wick combo.
Really not getting why all the hate for the revvo tank..

3 Reasons we dislike it. First and foremost, you have to turn the tank upside down periodically, especially as the juice level drops to keep the coil wet. Which is not intuitive and could cause dry hits if you forget or don't do it often enough. Second, no TC coils available. Finally it "feels" very cheaply made. Like maybe made out of aluminum or really thin stainless or something. I can't be sure. I just know how it feels. While the last 2 of these are very subjective, they are still cons IMHO.

I totally agree with the appearance of the revvo tank, it really is a very plain and pretty much the definition of not fancy.
Thanks for the heads-up about no stainless steel coils available for it I've actually been looking for stainless steel coils I guess I can stop now. As for inverting the tank periodically I actually only tried to do that once and ended up flooding the coil so what I do now with it is simply Tip It Forward every now and again since when I go to vape it gets tipped backwards toward my face getting 1/2 of the coils wicking wet and tipping It Forward gets the other half wet.
I guess part of the reason why I like the revvo, is because of the god-awful nastiness that is the baby Beast coils and how you basically gambled every time you bought a replacement coil on whether it would work or not.

That is a useful tip (pun intended).

As to the BB and BBB coils, you may be interested to know that you can also use Eleaf ELLO tank coils (including 1 SS option for TC) as well as Advken Dominator coils in them (at least according to DJLsb). Maybe try some of those. I cannot say if they will or won't be any better, as I have not personally used them.

    .
And I'm sure many think like that because everyone always has 10 bucks, so it doesn't seem like your losing much. throwing all those 10 bucks down the drain adds up and before you know it, you could of had enough saved up to buy a quality tank that would last a very long time.

In its simplest terms, that would be true. But I've yet to have any of those $10 tanks bad enough to trash, although they may get relegated to storage after a few months as back-ups when something better comes along. Funny thing is, same thing has happened with some of the $25-$30 tanks I purchased, so I figure I am still ahead of the game. :D

Oh I misread, I thought most of those you bought, you did throw away, so i was like asking myself, why are you still doing that.

I guess I am weird. I buy a a mod and tank about every 2 years and stick with it so I don't have a lot of "extras" laying around.

I have to admit, most kits I've purchased, I haven't liked so much. With drop in coils, I really like too stick to some of the (I hope) to be around coils like the nautilus coils and the ego mega one coils (that can be totally rebuilt). I think almost every tank I've ever gotten I have PIF, as it's either too sub0hm for me, or I didn't like the vape. Only a very few kits come with tanks I like, or at least coils I like that I can use in those tanks. It's disappointing to love a tank I know won't be around a while, although I do like the tarot nano tank, but it takes the Vapresso C-cell coils, so I'm pleased with that, they are also durable and pretty easy to find. For the most part, I do try not to purchase any more kits though, frankly I am more interested at the moment in building up my RTA stash, and buying as a kit does add up, I will agree. It's small but significant over time.

It's annoying/great to win a gift with proprietary coils and then actually like it as I know I need to "add coils" to the list of things down the road. Like my fusion AIO. I need to buy more coils for it, I like it enough to do so....

I was at the local mom-n-pop vape shop a while back and got to sit there for a bit and sample one of the Smok kits with the .25 ohm "M" coils. It was my first experience with one of these type of units. I expected NOT to like it but I have to say that it was a really nice vape. I was tempted to buy one but I've read so much about people having problems with the coils, etc, that I took a pass. Went home and fired up my Geekvape Zeus with a .5 ohm coil and thought that I had made the right choice. I still think about that Smoke kit, though. We were two ships passing in the night. Sigh.
