I think all basset hounds are loud sleepers. As far as trying to unspoil her, good luck. I don't think it can be undone. Our basset loves canned biscuits. When she smells them, she'll rub her chin into your knee until she gets one.

With my basset baby it's cheese, the only time she actually runs rather than trot merrily along is if someone is waving a piece of cheese at her. And yeah I don't think I'm going to be able to unspoil her, she's just too damned loveable LOL

Thanks for the info. I also tend to blow the plume away from her, just habit from when I smoked. But if I let her, she will get right in front of me and reach over to put her head in it. lol. Okay, no more of that. Not too worried about residuals in the air, though, because, like I said, she's mostly outside now. She comes in for skritches and treats, then goes back out to guard her food from the birds. Winter may be different, though, if it comes.
