I just ordered 5 black megas and 5 stainless megas. They're beautiful and I'm excited about how much liquid they hold!

However, I filled up one of each and I'm getting this rubbery undertaste (comparing to cartos from 2 other manufacturers and an atty). What's going on there? I've also let one sit for 2 days and it still tastes kinda strange. I've tried it on a 5V usb PT and have also tried it on the GGTS with 18650 bat. Any ideas? It doesn't taste burnt, just like the liquid with a chemical underflavor. Haven't had the same exp with any other cartos so I'm not sure that I should even try to vape through it to see if it disappears with time.

Not much longer. A couple questions, when you filled your's up did you let them sit a few minutes in between adding juice? They need to soak a little bit in between adding juice. Always if you fill them, and let them sit a while, check once more before you use them to be sure they are still showing/looking full of juice. The point I'm trying to make (and not doing very good at it) is, check it (juice level) before you hit it the first time. Sometimes they need just a little more topping off before you start the first initial use.

Bad taste can come from using them to quickly after loading them with juice. Give me another few minutes, mine's soaking now.

Okay, I just tried mine (got them in the mail yesterday). What I'm thinking may be the chemical taste you're tasting (I'm tasting it too) is like a PG primer. I think it will vape off fairly quickly. I'll keep using this one for the next hour and report back if things change, I think they will after a bit of use. I've experienced this with the black ones too, but it went away fairly quickly. Very similar taste to a new atty, there's a break in time for those too!

Awesome, Grammie! I think it may have been because I didn't let it sit and then finish filling. Thank you so much for your help! :D I've added more juice and let it set, and it's vaping perfectly. That's great because I love the capacity and vapor.

Ah. You just don't know how much I appreciate your help and testing. You're too generous! <hug>

Your are most welcome! Glad I could help out (just a little)!

These mega carto's last a long long time even using a dark colored juice. They also don't seem to stain when using dark juices (appear just as white as when new as the carto empties). I only vape different coffee combinations, most all are dark in color.

Just always check it before using it! Some times they really do soak up more juice and you can top that off before you get started. :toast:

I got the funky taste too. It was gone after about 5 toots. I just got a provari, and popped one of these on, and forgot to set the voltage down. It was at 4.3v and when I hit it, it was burnt to hell. Cranked it back down to 3.7 and it was fine -- except for the burnt carto aftertaste... Will this go away if I clean it, or with use? Or should I toss it... I hope not the latter...
