Kr808 VS 510

Well I got to try out my friends' vapor king from V4L. First they were very happy with V4L fast shipping good prices and everything worked just the way it was supposed to. The PCC was very nice at least from the little I saw of it. All in all I would say that it's very nice.

I can see how it would be easier to use with less hassle. They are just using the cartomizers and the ease of use is great. But I think they might have been a little disapointed with it. In a way it's probably my fault, I suggested the kr808 thinking that for this person it would be the easiest to use and still kick. However, it just doesn't put out like my 510 does. Of course when I was pushing the e-cig I made sure to have my 510 kicking big time. They are now dealing with the learning curve.

What I wonder is, is there any way to actually get the 808 to put out as much vapor as the 510? What advice can I give them? Is it the liquid?

I know that after trying both I'll stick with my 510, it does exactly what I want it to and now that I have it down (for the most part) I have a very consistant vaping experience. I would say that the 808 just didn't put out, am I missing something??

For me, I don't mind not having huge clouds of vapor. I like the nice warm vapor, outstanding taste and TH of the 808. Must admit that I don't have a 510. I switched over from an 801.

The new premium cartos put out heaps more vapor and flavor. I love them! Maybe get some of those. Also, long slow drags help.

Did they get any of the new premium cartos? They are constructed a bit differently and have more "sizzle", and perhaps a higher percentage of VG. Also, if they didn't get a pass-thru, they should definitely put one on their list.

Thanks, I will suggest the premium cartos but they don't have a computor and they both live pretty close to the school they work at so the passthrough won't help them.

I will say I didn't really get to check out flavors much. I tried virginia and one other don't know what it was. The TH was simply harsh to me and the taste although strong just wasn't my thing. But to be honest I'm sure that if I owned the kit I would work the bugs out find the juice I was looking for and be fine with it. It's just hard not having one and trying to give them advice. If they were online I would send them here of course. But they don't have internet at home and they are teachers at the school and online is limited to relevant subjects.

The sampler packs are great for trying out different flavors without having to commit to 5 cartos to try a flavor. Maybe they just haven't found their flavor yet.

No, you're not. My friend was just in the bar tonight, after buying the VfL. He was talked into it by the other dude. The first guy, I tried his, and it just sucked. I gave it a fair shake, I really did. Tried it several times. My other friend tried it as well. Didn't like it. I tried a new one tonight, sucked just as bad, with 18mg liquid. He says he has bad batteries. I don't know. I told him we could touch it up with some 26 mg liquid and find out, once he got the battery problem fixed. He tried my cignot 510, and agreed, it hits a lot better. Of course I'm using carts with PTB's and filling myself. But those KR808's are weak. My $100 SE Gold, porno edition hits harder than that.

I'm not the one to bash a product, especially if it gets someone off of cigs. But personally, I don't see it. I really didn't see any bad things being said about the VfL product on the forum, but, I have to say, I don't like that one. In comparison to my 510 of course.

Have them add a few drops of VG to their cartos and the vapor will be greater if that is what they are looking for.

I do like VG in fact I am in freaking lust over the 60/40 mix I got from the bear juice. That's a great idea I'll let them know.

Juice makes a lot of difference. Have them try some blank cartomizers and some small sample bottles of various juices. Also, a PT can be used with a wall wart or something like a Kensington power pack or a car adapter - as long as it is a USB port that puts out at least 1 amp.

well you could always get em a 901 battery to 510 atty adapter and a couple of 510 atties..the KR8 battery is better than the 510 standard battery anyway (and it actually produces more vapor on a 510 atty too)...
Failing that, premium cartos..a little more VG in the mix.. best I can tell you...I ordered from V4L once...prefer the 510 or the eGo with cartos...but I won't order any more from them til they figure out what they're doing... too inconsistant for me with changing the airholes in their batteries and draw characteristics and what they're doing with what cartos and which premium cartos they're going with and new cartos not working on new PTs...I'll wait til they get whatever they're doing figured out....

Oh see...it took that rant to remember that they might be getting too much of an airy draw for their liking and vapor production..can try plugging some of the airholes on the battery near the threads to help vapor production...expecially if they're using auto batteries.

Hey thats right, I have read about a usb plug you can buy that is powered from the wall socket. I remember people being worried about using their laptops in particular.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and please keep them coming if you have anything to add. I would love for my buds to quit and it was kind of a bummer seeing them with a cig in their hand. (funny though they both kept reaching for my 510). It does seem like they are having a problem with the learning curve. I'm trying to help but it's like playing the telephone game. I don't have one (kr808) and they can't come on the site themselves.

It seemed super airy to me. Each one of my 510 attys is different but none are that airy.

That's my number one problem with em..
If they keep reaching for your 510 just get adapters and some 510 atties...they can still use their batteries and chargers..

But yeah try plugging some of the airholes it'll up the production a bit..can cut a carto condom (with a slight angle and slide it over to block airholes and adjust it..or shove a toothpick in a hole and break it off flush..(this works better on autos...dunno if thats what they're using)..

if they're autos just snip the end off of a carto condom and slide the ring over the airholes where they meet the cart...it'll force the draw from the end of the battery and should up the vapor production...and the fun little party trick of sliding a carto condom over the led end of the battery should cause em to fire up even without drawing
