New member, would love to post this in the 510 forum but alas, I can't...
So, anyone here use the KR808D-1 batteries with a 510-T Low Resistance atomizer?
I love the tank system (was an M40X user for a long time) but I'm looking for just a bit more vapor/heat.
I understand that the KR808D-1 batteries are a true 3.7v vs the 3.1-3v of the 510 batteries.
I was thinking this combined with the Joye 510-T LR atomizers would create a bit more vapor/heat.
Anyone here using this setup?

Or perhaps LR atomizers on mega batteries at least?
I'd say 50/50, people say do/don't use LR atomizers on standard/mega batteries.
Thoughts?

Thanks!

Yeah, I understand that I'd need an adapter.
My biggest concern is form factor to vapor production and trying to get the most out of the smallest package.
I have an eGo at home and I never use it because it feels like puffing on a screwdriver.
The closer to the size of an analogue the better...
And the most vapor I can get out of that size, preferably.

Hi fescen, I think your sefest bet if it has to be a slim batt would be to get the xl version . The tank idea may be right for you but have you considered ce2 yet? The reason I say this is I have used the ego t, the ego tLR, 510t, 510tLR, and almost all of the incarnations of the ce2. If you are looking for warm vapor ce2 has it in spades at the same voltage with less stress on the batteries..... No they are not perfect but in my opinion they are far better than all versions of the "t" equipment. The t atties need ALOT of fiddling to be great and really they rarely stay great for very long. I spent many months fiddling with the t equipment so unless theres been a huge shift in the quality control practices at the manufacturers level then I suspect they are just as I recall them.... You could pick up a 510t atty for about $6, tanks for t $5, or a five pack of ce2 for about $9.... Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Actually, I just ordered 3 boxes of cartomizers. I got some SmokTech Dual Coil Clearomizers, Royalsmoker CE2's and Boge LR Soft Tips (w/Mega batteries)

What got me thinking about the KR808D-1's however is the fact that they are the same form factor at a true 3.7v vs the 510's which run at 3.1v - 3.3v. I would think that means even more vapor!

Hopefully I'll like the cartomizers. I love the tanks but the atomizers leave a little to be desired. They start off strong with tons of vapor but after a few days to a week, taper off and after about two weeks, taste burned and produce horrible vapor. At least that's been my luck with the last few I've been through.

Hello again Fescen, I use them on my mod@4v, on a 3.4v ego and on a 3.7v ego clone. The only thing I havnt tried YET is the dual coil cartos. I have one vendor that I use and really haven't HAD to change so for now I will just keep at it with what I have and let that be that. I do also use boge2.0 cartos on and off but my favorites(currently) are the ce2.

Yes There is a difference in vapor output as the voltage goes up but it also, for me, changes the flavor. I Could vape at 6.5volts if i wanted to but I prefer right at 4.... the thing that they are talking about I think is the fact that they are running low resistance, not just the fact that its 510. Thats the "trick".... I'm not a pro on the 808 but I think there really is no great low resistance cartos/attys/tank options with 808 threading....at least that the impression I have.

So, I got my cartomizers. Figured I'd start with the well reviewed CE2's. All I can say is WOW! They're light and airy with a very warm vapor. And even more amazingly, this is the first time I actually got a nicotine buzz of a e-Cig... Closest thing to an analogue I've ever experienced. I hope they stay this way until they die. I did destroy one trying to fill it. The instructions state to remove the inner ring. Screwed one up trying to do so. Realized I can just stick the needle through the side holes in the ring and fill that way... Only issues I've seen so far is that I got a mouth full of juice after laying one on its side. Hope that's not a constant issue. That and they seem to run better on standard 510-T batteries than the Mega's. They seem to burn a little hot on the Mega's and burn the juice.

If you like the CE2's you might try pairing them with your 808 equipment. I like the unregulated (first generation) Kr808d-1's with the 2.8-3.0 ohm 808CE2 carts that madvapes has. Vapor is just like you describe it and you have the small form factor. Also look up the syringe mod for durability on those CE2's. You can pull off the clear casing, wash em under running water and dry burn them to ashify the gunk on the coil. Toss a piece of syringe on in place of the case they come with and you can keep them going for a long time.
Whatever you settle on, enjoy your vape!

Thanks for the info, I'll look into the mods.
So I gave the SmokTech DC's and Boge LR's a test run.
The SmokTech's are decent but don't produce as much vapor as the CE2's.
Nor do they produce the same warmth.
The Boge LR's are pretty nice however.
The vapor isn't as warm as the CE2's but they do produce a nice amount of it.
Being LR however, it appears that they burn through a ton of juice.

So for now I think I'll stick with the CE2's as they produce a nice cloud, warm airy vapor and can run on standard and mega batteries giving me more options.
The Boge are a close second, but the amount of juice they burn and requirement of mega or larger batteries makes them less convenient for me.

Now I need to look into cleaning the CE2's as it is evident that the flavor diminishes over time as the coil gets dirty.
I suppose at this price point however, I can use them a few days and junk them and not feel too bad. :)
