I got a 5 pack of cartos for my 808 and thought 3 of the 5 where DOA. After playing with them a little I found that the threading was to deep and the center post was not making contact with the battery.

So I broke out the dremel and started grinding down the bottom so it would seat further down on the battery. This fixed the no contact issue and it started working however I created another problem. I effectively eliminated the airflow slots. So back to the dremel. I cut a couple of new air slots and now all of my carto's are working properly.:headbang:

The ones I got where from MyVaporstore, the 808 blank 5 pack. I looked at some of those fixes but didn't want to mess with the battery or risk damaging the connection in the carto. Besides it took less than 30sec to re-shape the end of the carto. You can achieve the same results with a file, it will just take a little longer.

That's great.
You wouldn't happen to know where I could find something like "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Operating A Dremel" ?
I've got a dremel and can only figure out how to get one attachment on.

I have found the eGo mega cartomizers have a similar problem. They have a plastic sheathing that sits on the battery where the cone sits, I have had a few that were a bit too long in the sheathing. I used a bit of fine sand paper to take about a half mm off the end and they work fine. The air channels in them are 1mm deep if I go a bit too far sanding I just use the wife's emery board to open them back up a little.

Well, If you can get that one attachment on and off you may need a different size collet for the others. It really isn't any different that swapping bits in a drill.:p

Also most have a button on them that locks the shaft so it can't turn allowing you to turn the chuck.
