In my quest to produce more vapor for my VK I ordered some VG based carts...failing that has anyone had experience with the the XL batteries? I figured the higher ampere unit would produce more vapor. Is that correct. Any info would be much appreciated.

The higher rating on the XL is a mAh milliwatt hours which is not a power rating but a longevity rating. You may get some more 'peak volt' from it but not like a mod battery eg., like a 900 or 3000mAh batt. I know the 280mAh does not get any more power than the regular batts, and the 10440 340mAh Janty Stick battery also doesn't get near the wattage that you get on a Protege or Bartleby for example - which hold peak voltage for hours.

Ok good to know. So then when it comes to getting more vapor I have to stick with trying VG as my only possible way to acheive more vap? Maybe one day I'll try one of these mods but I'm still in the quiting analog stage so I need something closer to a real cig.

I use the XL batteries exclusively but my pass-thru's at home and in the car are my favorites because they replicate the smoking experience best.

I love my VK and would never give it up because taste and throat hit are my priorities, but it's not a huge vapor producer in comparison to some other models. Maybe you should consider trying a mod of some sort?

Well I must admit...got some VG stuff from V4L and what a difference! Clouds of vapor come pouring outa those things! Though the flavour does seem abit lessened. Maybe I should just get some VG and add a bit here and there to my regular flavours. Anyone tried that and if so where do you get just plain VG juice?

Another option might be a manual battery versus the auto batteries. I do not have one yet but general opinion seems to be that they produce more vapor.

Yes, I have added VG and it tends to up the vape. Just realize that you are also losing nic concentration unless you buy unflavored VG w/nic and use that to cut the PG juice.
