This is the 2nd mod I have had James make for me. Krimson Kustoms mods is all about choices. Pick your model or invent something new; James is always eager for a challenge. Isn't that right, James? :)

You can chooose your box color, your button color, your led color, just about anything your little heart desires. He calls this model the "Blue Devil". The 1st one was made in a blue case, hence the name. I requested mine to be made in a black case. So, I suppose she's a blue devil in a black dress. LOL. The box is smooth black plastic, very nice.

Without further ado, dada dada, here she is:

I gotta tell you, this mod is not as big or heavy as I thought it would be, considering it holds 2-18650 batteries. It measures 4" tall, 2" wide, and 1" deep. It's comfortable in my hand, and I'm a girl. :) The dial adjustment on the front for changing the voltage is super easy to adjust, but will not move on its own. I also choose a black button. It fires every single time. And it has an on/off switch on the bottom front. This baby hits like a freight train, absolutely love it! AND it is sturdy. I have dropped her countless times, and she's just like new.
Trust me, this mod IS the whole package and totally worth every penny.

This is a pic from the top. My connection is 510. All of the connections on Krimson Kustoms Mods are sealed cleanly with epoxy. Nice Job, James!! :)

This is what she looks like on the inside, just as clean as a whistle. That's another thing about James' mods. He builds them clean. You won't find globs of hot glue and messy work. Everything is soldered and epoxied very professionally. You can see a magnet at each corner which very securely holds the back on.

Another very important aspect of Krimson Kustoms Mods is the personal customer service that James provides for each and every customer. When I first got this mod, I had trouble with my AW IMR's making contact. James instructed me through pm's how to bend the battery connection tabs to correct this. Well, I was fussy, and I wanted him to put a spring in. He graciously allowed me to send it back and put springs on the negative battery connection side. I couldn't be happier.

This is what she looks like with batteries inserted. I think James should have named this mod, "The Weekender". It usually lasts me 2 days on a freshly charged set of 18650 batteries. No fuss vaping for 2 days is amazing, and I'm a heavy vaper. I'd bet it would last many of you much longer.

I wrap my batteries with a short length of duct tape with a tab, so they can be removed easily. Another tip I picked up from James.

I let James choose between a pink or purple led. He put this purty purple led in for me. I love it because it's different.

Now, you can see from my signature that I have some very nice custom mods. My Blue Devil in black is one of my favorites. Just because it's in a black plastic box doesn't make it less appealing at all. It's sleek, smooth, and lasts a long time. Keep up the good work, James! :)

Here's one more look at my "Blue Devil in a Black Dress"

BLUE DEVIL

I just got my blue devil today on my birthday (great timing). I took it out of the box along with a flyer from customs saying that it had been inspected as it was flagged as a possible explosive device. All I could do was look at it for the first two hours as I had no 18650 batteries charged up. I found that quite a few of my 18650 batteries were dead which ...... me off quite a bit. So I have put two odd batteries in, one grey trustfire 18650 and one blue 18650 with 100 mah difference between them. All I can say is wow, It works great. It's a black box with a blue LED. I wont say that it's a blue devil in a black dress, I'll call it a blue devil dressed in a tux ;)
The dial is easy to move and the switch feels better than a silver bullet one and definably better than a Saber touch one (I hate saber touch mods, had two bad experiences). It fires up well and it isn't too fiddly to find my sweet spot. I have used a mad vapes vv box mod for a while and the thing ran hot. It was designed to as it had a heat sink that retained the heat. I am trying to get used to not having that familiar warmth sitting in the palm of my hand and the familiar smell of the plastic warming up. I'm not knocking mad vapes box mods as you do get bang for buck, my tip is to bead some lock tight around the atty connection as they do twist off very easily with my two experiences. Back to the subject, if I could order another one (which I can't as James is chucking in the modders game and the wife wouldn't let me) I would have the switch on the side for comfort. It is not as big as I had pictured in my mind which was surprising. I would say it is about the size of pack of 20 king size coffin nails (been three years since I have smoked but from memory I'd say that was the size. Battery life... who am I to comment, I'm using two odd batteries but I have ordered some more today. I can say that it uses two odd batteries with out a winge. Oh and the mod is friggen solid; Much more tougher than a AA box. Only things that I have found wrong with my Tuxed Devil is some minor scratches and the lid at the bottom isn't sitting flush to perfection but whoopie doo. I have always been a member of Aussie vapers and just become a member here to see what was the delay with my mod. Found out that James was shutting up shop so by me choosing this mod and receiving this mod on my birth day I'm naming my mod FATE

Wonderful review!!! I can really tell alot about James work, and that u are really enjoying it! I have looked at his mods before and never bought one. I still don't own one with a led meter on it and I think I need something with bigger batteries than the 14500 I use now. I really like the looks of this and the battery power u are using. Do u happen to know the amp of the switch? I only use LR dual coils, so I really need at least a 3 amp switch I think.

On another note, did I hear James was going out of business? Or is that just a rumor?

Again thanks for the great review!

I don't know the answer about the amps on the switch. I usually run a 3.0 carto in a tank at around 5.5-5.7V. Yes, it is true. James is no longer taking new orders for mods. This was his actual post:

"Well I have some news. Due to school, work and family I will for the foreseeable future be bringing down the site and stop taking orders. I will be finishing the orders I have already taken, however no new ones will be taken unless things change drastically from my current situation. I will still be monitoring the thread and talking to folks but I believe after the current 8 or so orders are finished it very well may be my last.

For those that have mods I will still be fielding emails and answering questions and I deeply appreciate being able to make mods for everyone.

James"
