Hello guys, I just recieved the Ammit V2 after reading great things about it on reddit but I'm having second thoughts about it and wonder if I should get the Kylin V2 instead with the updated deck.

Does anybody have these two tanks and whether it's a good idea to change to Ammit for the Kylin? Any help is much appreciated

I don't have either of them, but looking at the pics the only difference I can see is the shape of the upper air holes. I suspect they'll vape very similarly. If you're leaning toward the smaller model one of them has 1ml capacity more than the other, but I don't remember which. Both of the big ones are 6ml. Really, this is going to be more your choice than anything else. I doubt you can tell a difference in the vape with an electron microscope, if vapers had an electron microscope tuned to measure vaping.

One caveat: I am personally prejudiced against atomizers with bottom air holes flush with the deck. The leak like a sieve. Usually RDAs are the culprits, but I am not surprised the RTA people are trying to out-do them. The best advice I can give you is a) build contact coils, not spaced; b) make sure the coil is long enough and properly installed to extend past the edges of the air hole on all sides (you want wire above the hole, not wick); c) do not over-stuff the wick in the coil; and d) go get a paper towel dispenser on a neck chain at the dollar store so you can have some handy. ;)

I have both. The Ammit leaks if the coils are too close to the deck & a bit more fiddley than the Kylin V2. IMO... The Kylin RTA is a tad bit better in flavor and a whole lot easier to build & Wick. It's the first RTA I've owned that works best with stuffed wicks. No over stuffing but it works better with a good amount of cotton. No need to trim or shape, just tuck ends first & she'll wick no problem. The Ammit is the opposite. Too much cotton it'll choke & dry hits galore.. Not enough, it'll leak.. Should've named it the Goldie Locs RTA.. Lol.. But once it's done right, both are grrreat tanks. Both provide the best of both worlds... Flavor and Vapor production. Aside from my 30mm Aromamizer & my iJoy EXO RTA, they are 2 of the best flavor atties I own. You can't go wrong with either, but imo the Kylin RTA is the best of the two...

The Ammit has larger wicking slots, than the Kylin, so it also takes a good amount of cotton but I found myself over stuffing it regularly. And to be honest, it's been wicking a thousand times better, since I started using Jellyfish Cotton last week. JC is some of the fluffiest cotton I've ever used. IMO it's better than Cotton Bacon. It's absorbent, wicks awesome, easy to use, heat resistant & u get a good amount for the price. I'm truly impressed with this cotton... 8yrs vaping, nearly 6yrs building, I don't impress easily.

Now I'm sure both the Kylin & the Ammit work great regardless of what u use, but I expect the design will be duplicated extensively on future RTA's & true to vapology..
The design will be tweaked, improved & tweaked again in a matter of months or even weeks.
Case & point.. The Captain RTA.. We'll all be sick of this design before its all over with, for example the Velocity deck... [emoji849]
