Chubby Gorilla also makes Unicorn bottles? No wonder there's so much confusion. Where I live the DIY store sells two kinds.

These they call Chubby Gorilla and they have the tamper-evident features that make them hard to reuse.

These they call unicorn bottles. They're super easy to reuse.
shop around though, I bought mine for 33 cents each about a year ago, the Amazon link is actually from Kidney Puncher and they are way overpriced. I was just showing the availability, I dont recommend this source.

But why would you intentionally use bottles that require a screwdriver or knife to open when there are better alternatives?
I wouldnt, the bottles I shared are as low as 15 cents ea on eBay as @Letitia pointed out.
No screwdriver needed, just your fingernail.

BTW, to the original poster. Those magnetic stirrers, I own two lab quality ones..
They are a gimmick, sooooo not need to mix juice. Even if you are doing 10 gallons at a time I still would not use these.

Many people, myself included in my early DIY days, over-complicate what it essentially a very simple process.

A word about syringes with blunt tip needles. Some of those needles are as large as 16 gauge and are almost 2 inches long. That's great for getting down in deep bottles but you have to take that amount of Nicotine PG VG or flavorings into account when you mix because that won't be included on your graduation marks on the syringe. Especially with Nicotine, you could overdo it by mis-measuring if mixing small batches. For a more exact measurement always clear your needle and or unscrew it before transferring liquids. It might be the thing that makes or breaks your batch.

I think you are supposed to only use the screwdriver to get the tip off. If you accidentally slip with the screwdriver and rip a fingernail off you are supposed to use the knife to detach the entire finger, thus reducing pain at the nail bed.

I have jerry rigged many a mix. I am rather fond of baking equipment for example. I mix my nic base using cups and ratios.

I will say, premixed base (if you are prepared to be a tad flexible about your nic level from time to time although I almost always use about 10% flavoring) is the best thing since sliced bread. I don't like scale mixing as much.

One time, I could not find my syringes and it so happens that a teaspoon is almost exactly 5 ml, which is what I happened to need for flavoring so I had a great time dripping into those. They were metal, so a quick rinse and wipe off.... On to the next. My mixes turned out fine and dandy.

The most essential thing you need is ingredients and it sounds like you have a handle on that just fine :lol::lol::lol::lol:.

Just however you do it HAVE fun, is my recommendation. A happy mixologist leads to a happy mix, REGARDLESS of how you do it. I do use my syringes and whatnot too, but EVERYTHING is optional.

I don't got for mixers, shakers or anything mechanical like that, but I've been at this a while and time, and the occasional shake are great.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but I consider one flavor tester mixes to be somewhat essential. That's what I started with and then would combine stuff in my tank. Not exactly the same as steeping, but it gave me ideas. I don't do it as much now, but I still do sometimes.

Also-- Never toss a mix without trying to fix it. I have learned more trying to fix my failed mixes than all of my successes have taught me.

The exception being the time I mixed a Margarita flavor with a gin and tonic flavor in the same bottle.... LOL it was, well I bet it could've stripped paint.

I am happy to report I have mixed for others, others who would TELL me if I my mix was horrible to them, so that boosted my confidence especially when they came back for more.

Just keep your chin up keep mixing, it's ALWAYS entertaining, even if it is sometimes terrible. Even then, LOL.

You can rinse and reuse ldpe. Though I can unfortunately confirm that they aren't good for transferring concentrates into. Stick with PET or glass for those. I have found that I prefer dropperbottles.com ldpe unicorn bottles over the chubby brand though.

Those are the ones I bought recently. Very nice bottles, no child proof caps. I hate child proof caps.

Time is the best steeper imo, mix and forget.

Not my fingernails. Men tend to have strong ones, so you can do that. I need a bottle opener to pull up a pull tab, my nails are so wimpy. I pull the tops off bottles with my needle nose pliers. They’re in my build box right by my bottle filling station.

Yep, will admit I've trashed a few tips doing that though.

When I started, I bought a kit with all kinds of things in it, cost a bunch. I used that stuff about twice. You might have mistaken me for someone diluting botulism toxin. All I use now is a 10ml syringe for nicotine and for water, same syringe the water is the second ingredient. I have a 60 ml catheter tip syringe for VG. I empty the syringes into my 125ml "ketchup" style bottle. I don't flavor the base mix. If I want some flavor, I will drip something commercial into my squonking atomizer or some flavoring into the squonk bottle.

Storage, Storage, Storage. So many flavorings. Since the op is just beginning, might I suggest to organize your flavorings now before it gets out of hand.
Also, store your nic safely away from kids, pets.
I mix by weight. I use Ketchup and Mustard squeeze bottles for my PG/VG.
I also like to use a mini funnel when mixing. No more aiming at that tiny opening.
