Hi there

Some time ago my brother told me of a Brother labeler that was on sale in a nearby shop. My brother had Already bought a Brother, so I to got the Brother my brother recommended.:p

Anyways - think you can get more or less any labeling machine there is. They are often pretty cheap as they want to make the money on selling you more labeling-tape. The tape that follows the machine is pretty short and probably not of the most resistant quality. When my original cart ran out, I got one that was a lot longer and that is sturdy.

The replacement tapes are quite expensive, especially if you want the ones that can stand more or less anything. I got a non-original from ebay, but still had to shell out almost $20 with freight.

Since you have not bought one yet - my advice would be to check out the tapes first, and then get a matching labeling machine.

I use a P-Touch Labeler and use it for All Kinds of things.

Same here P-Touch 1000.:2cool:
BTW: Here is from the description of the tape I am currently using "The label is self-adhesive, crack and peel, can be stick to most clean and smooth surface. They can resist extreme heat and cold, abrasive environments and many chemicals. It is ideal for many industrial applications, can be used outdoors as well as indoors."

I have put a number on each of the flavor-bottles (and caps) and the same with some small test-tubes i got for the occasion($10+freight for 50x5ml with caps).

When I print out some tape, I write the numbers as many times as needed in one go(spaced), and then print out. Reason is that the labeler puts out an annoyingly long piece of blank tape at both ends of the printout.

Da P-Touch is da cat's azz! I label my bottles, cartos and tanks. I use the transparent tape with black or white lettering. When 'they' say resistant, they're not BSing! I've ran labelled bottles through many cycles of a vodka filled sonic cleaner. That's not counting the too many times

that I've had joose all over the bottles exterior.

If ya do a Goo search, ya can often find a great deal on the basic units. Think I paid 'bout $12 shipped for my last unit (got lucky). Yes, replacement tapes aren't cheap, but worth it to me.

Seriously, go with a P-T. Ya can't go wrong, even if ya have to pay retail.

ETA: Lil' slow typing the response. Str8, ya got a malfunctioning unit. And yes, the leader and trailing tape space is a bit excessive. BUT, I won't label with any other 'system' if I want a long lasting readable label.

OK, last edit: The paper and tape method has caused me to toss a bunch o' joose that I received via a trade. Couldn't read snit due to smearing under the Scotch tape. Beware!

I use a P-Touch for things that are constants, VG, PG and Nicotine storage bottles. Using a P-Touch is gonna get expensive. I use cartridges so I label the white cap that comes with it with a label maker if I really like the flavor otherwise I use a fine point sharpie...a dab of alcohol is all it takes to erase the sharpie off the cap if I don't like it.... saves a lot of expensive labels. For bottles you can get erasable labels at walmart for 2-3 bucks for 60 labels or the paper labels and just use tape over the label and around the entire circumference of the bottle. I usually put a lot of info on bottle labels i.e., Name, born on date, mg and PG/VG ratio and if just one thing changes there goes an expensive P-Touch label. My bottles last longer that my labels. JMHO

Awesome, a lot of good ideas :) I picked up the brother P-2030 (comes ith ac adaptor etc) It was on sale for about $30, and picked up a pack of tape for $30 lol. My collection looks a lot more professional now :) I see an option for lable length, going to see if I can reduce the lead in and out on the label

I like to set the Tape Length to the shortest setting also. My also can do Frames around text which I like.

LOL...

I used to write Recipes on 3-x-5 Cards. Had the darn things everywhere. Then one day it hit me. When a Recipe is Done, put it on the Bottle.

Don't seem to lose the Bottles as much as the 3-x-5 cards.

I do the same but with post its wrapped around the bottle. Yours is prettier ;)
