So I just mixed up my first couple batches of DIY liquid. One using Lorann's and one using Perfumers apprentice flavoring. Flavor is strong and spot on, and they create a lot of vapor in the mouth, but once inhaled, no vapor on exhale.

Now I know people will say add VG, but truth is I don't care for VG and I also want to avoid it as more people I've met had issues after smoking VG for prolonged periods then PG.

The thing is I have 100% (besides flavoring) PG mixes from other suppliers and they all produce plenty of vapor. Inlcuding some of the Dekang that at least are marked as full PG. Are they adding something else to increase vapor?

I've had this same problem with 100% PG mixes I've made myself versus store-bought stuff. I can't say why it is because I don't really use 100% PG since it dries my mouth out like crazy even though I constantly drink water.

However, I'm not sure about your case study approach to VG's dangers. For one, statistically more people have problems with PG than VG as far as I know. And secondly, you would get lots of vapor with just 10% VG, even 5% would likely make it at least equivalent to what you're used to.

PG liquids eventually give me a dry, irritated throat. Too much VG and I feel like my lungs are losing efficiency or the ability to oxygenate. I just try to control my vaping frequency and I'm fine. I can't vape like a smokestack with either. I'm thinking about cutting my nic to 12 or 16mg for a while to see if that helps.

I wish someone would come up with a liquid that is neutral, produces lots of vapor, and doesn't have its own set of side effects. I borrowed my brother in law's oximeter one day at a family gathering and I read 99% oxygenation after smoking several analogs. That was pre-ecigs. I have one of those pulmonary function testing devices that they gave me a year ago when I had my appendix out and I can max it out while maintaining the flow indicator within the limits shown on the gauge, so my lungs are performing very well.

Maybe it's just that I'm still going through the recovery process after quitting all but 5 analogs a day. My body was adjusted to the constant abuse of tobacco and doesn't know what to do with the changes going on.

You may want to give PEG a shot, some people have had trouble with both PG and VG and have done well with PEG. Totally Wicked has it and now so does e-liquid.cn.

Also if you want to reduce vaping frequency I would think you'd want to increase the nicotine strength so you'd need to vape less to get more nicotine.

PEG-400 suppose to be an alternative to VG and produce VG vapour without VG "issues" (though I vape PG and VG liquids and got none)

What did you vape that's only for mixing? Most liquids will tell you the VG/PG levels when you buy them and sometimes on the bottle. Generally a dry mouth is a reaction to PG not VG. Flavorings usually come diluted in PG and rarely in alcohol, water, and/or VG.

It wasn't the liquid though that dries me out too. It was the flavourArt Flavour that you buy that is to be used for mixing only with PG/VG in proper proportions, and DIY experiments. The flavours don't have anything listed either. Just the name and bottle size.

On the FlavourArt website (and they should really mention it on any reseller site) they tell you it's diluted in a carrier liquid, usually PG by default but many are also available in triacetin, the most basic oil. A few are only available in triacetin, such as the pizza flavor and some other savory ones, which is why resellers should say that since some sell those. Vaping it straight would be very strong, though, and I'd imagine such strong flavor by itself could mess with your mouth/throat even if it isn't the PG.
