Sorry! I forgot to say the blood tests were all normal! Don't know why they couldn't tell me that on the phone.

He's finally asleep. Even after I gave him his pain medication last night, he barely slept at all, at least when I was awake. His eyes would start closing, then I could see him snap them back open. Every time I woke up during the night, and that was several times, he was wide eyed and looking at me. Finally at 5 am he was asleep, but as soon as I sat up he woke up. Maybe he's afraid if he sleeps he'll wake up back at the vets? Who knows. But he's lying right against my legs, and I'm happy that he's getting some rest now.

ordered some new llama halters .. after the baby halters 7 years ago I haven't used them because they just good creatures to work with. I want to start walking them on trail outings when I go out with the dogs.. Almost time for hair cuts... too thank goodness they patient with me..

his hair is nice for spinning I have fun with a drop spindle but never master'd getting two strans to stick together to actually make yarn.. :0

i've always wanted to learn to spin. but since i haven't learned yet, i've made do with felting...that might work with his hair

I would love to do the felted hats, but thought you had to knit them first?? What can you make felting if you don't knit it?

The wool doesn't have to be knitted first. You use soapy water on layers of carded wool. It makes the fibers curly again and they lock together. Tutorial - How To Make Flat Felt (Wet Felting) (rosiepink)
I've gotten dyed wool online, but you have your very own source

With flat felting you can either stretch the felt over a form, and it will dry in that shape, or cut and assemble as if you're working with fabric.

Met with the trainer yesterday,, Arka did well he got accepted for training.. I was a screw up,, so focused on getting all the animals done and set up for me to be gone and everything secure before I left. That and being nervous for me leaving for most of the day I skipped breakfast grabbed something when I got gas. And come noon my sugar dropped so bad so fast I almost passed out during the training meeting. Was so embarrassing lol . Arka is such a hard dog to read as he is a sloth and doesn't offer behaviors to read as an active dog does.

he adores his big brother Ra and Ra makes me laugh cause when Arka is following him like a shadow at times Ra will lick him across the head for not knowing what else to do for the pup...

Arka and Ra have the exact same coloring (at least in that picture), they almost could be brothers. But I wonder what Ra will think when Arka gets bigger than him?! Or maybe he already is, LOL

dynamics in a group are forever changing that is for sure. Learning mind your own business is what has always worked in my group.. That whole it takes two to tango makes sense.. If they all minding their own business and not the in the business of the other dog then it's easy to get along..

lol... Catmom I wouldn't know where to start on that one... Cats have their own planet for sure.... guess that is why I only have the one cat.. When I worked at boarding kennels I always found the gals who worked in the cattery fascinating in all the situations taking care of the cats..

Arka is registered for beginners ob for older pups and young adults.. we start next Tuesday... she said it's a very small class. Which will be perfect for us.

"And one cat to rule them all" Chewy is such a cool cat knows how to work the dogs in his favor "marks them as soon as they arrive as his" New dogs are so stunned about this creature comeing right up to them and wrapping himself around them they just freeze in place letting Chewy do his "your mine thing jedi mind spell on them"... And the dogs from day one belong to him.....
