for Catmom.. :) "And one cat to rule them all" Chewy is such a cool cat knows how to work the dogs in his favor "marks them as soon as they arrive as his" New dogs are so stunned about this creature comeing right up to them and wrapping himself around them they just freeze in place letting Chewy do his "your mine thing jedi mind spell on them"... And the dogs from day one belong to him.....

I found Penny and Tyler's baby pictures! The shelter where we adopted them uses a professional photographer and posts their pictures on their web site. So they're much better pictures than any I've taken!

awww too sweet!!! were able to get them as babies... making a guess (Tyler top and Penny bottom picture)) lol lets see if I am any good at reading cats... but it looks like masculine and femine characteristics are clear in the photos.

Sorry, Patricia, you got them backwards. The top picture is Penny and the bottom picture is Tyler. It's hard to believe they were ever that small!

Arka had a good time first day in OB class... he was a happy firecracker with excellent attention for 30 minutes of the hour class then he fell alseep and I just moved out of the way and sat with him while he slept it off lol ... proud of him was a big boy first time being in a new place with all the other pups and dogs and it didn't bother him from his focus with me...

nice smile today as I took all the dogs down to the road in the side fenced free play area to meet Teresa our UPS gal.. My cat Chewy was so cute he was walking right along with all the dogs too.. lol lol .. Love that cat he just knows he is something special... sitting there watching with all the dogs while I am talking to Teresa getting my package.. It was just an envelope with a DVD in it so I gave it to Arka to see if he would carry it back.. He did,, all the way back through the barn not letting any of the chickens distract him from his mission on his way back to the house... .. Yeah... Roast beef for everyone..... Chewy took his own route and was waiting for me to personally open the front door of the house for him lol ... I never mind catering to him and he knows it lol ...

lol.. CES,, I was suprised lol... The first time I ever offered Adele the opportunity she happily took the envelope ran back towards the barn stopped and started ripping it up having a good ole time with it.. lol .. So you never know what they will do with an opportunity but I love to find ways to offer individual activities to them and work with it.. :) they always make me smile.. even with Adele "we had a little talk about not eating it sweetie.." and she did well to carry the envelope back a little further before she got distracted again.. :)

So, my oldest dog used to fetch the newspaper, back when i used to get paper newspapers. Well, it wasn't so much "fetch" as it was an arrangement we reached, maybe even blackmail on his part.

He'd run out the front door and race for the newspaper. His impulse was to grab it, run away with it, and tear it up (much like Adele and your envelope). However, if i had a dog biscuit he'd come over to get the treat, bringing the paper cause it was already in his mouth, and drop the paper so that he could eat the treat. I think that he always intended to get back to the paper once the treat was gone...but i had at least 2-3 seconds to get it back while he was chewing.

just an update on the crew.. was a miserable day lol ... but we needed that awful slow heavy moisture the kind that soaks into the ground :) Had the dogs wait up at the house while I got the new chicks set up in the barn... silly gooses.. You do notice the intelligent ones waited inside the house out of the weather lol lol lol ...
