OK Arka update.... He had a puppy melt down this evening.. 100% by the book puppy behavior.. NO legend mystical ferocious special trait because he is a Caucasian. He is an ordinary dog doing dog things, But clearly why a novice dog owner would not do well with this breed. Been busy,, haven't gotten out to top off my meat supply or done any culling.. So been doing just dog food.. It has made for a very cranky puppy this evening
I gave Arka a milk jug he was interested in and Adele wanted to take it, normally not a big deal between the two of them, but he just had a melt down about it.. No one touched each other.. Adele is such an instigator to egg Arka on right at the edge of provoking.
What can come out of a cranky hungry 96lb huge head, with a large mouth and big teeth 30 inch high puppy is not for the faint of heart. lol By the book to ease him down like any other breed of puppy, "being calm and gentle about it" that mommy will make it right and for Adele to go away.. no problem poor chewy was just walking through the area Arka just about turned that black cat pure white... lol thank goodness he likes me and cares what I have to offer..
I was on the phone with Tim,, and he had thought we were all being mascaraed torn limb from limb from the sound of Arka..
Since getting Arka I kept thinking by the book he acts and responds like any other dog... And actually very easy to work with and learn. Not a hard breed... But can see know if a novice owner is frightened of a 8 week 10lb pup that is growling at them... They would not like what Arka can bring to the table when he does his cranky puppy moment...
PS Very proud of Arka as Ra just happened to be right there when the melt down happened and Arka only cared to focus on Adele for being the only one that was pushing his buttons.. So that is pretty cool again seeing the intelligence and tolerance in the breed very aware and never mindless.
I cooked him up a plate of scrambled eggs bacon and sweet potatos.. Happy puppy and have a couple of young geese I will cull in the morning as I don't have plans to go into town until Friday.
