Hello! Who likes soup? You can make an awesome veggie soup using v8 or tomato juice as the base. (watch out for corn syrup some canned juice has it) add in a little water then stick your head in the fridge and start addding those veggies. Get creative! You can add beans, brown rice or tofu. I use to make this all the time when I cooked at the senior center and everyone loved it. Simmer on low for 45 min or put it in the crock pot. The best part is it has no fat and you can pretty much eat as much as you want. Thats my story but I have to admit that I brought home pizza today. Lol

I had the shortest walk ever today; not that I can walk very far at any time any more. It was windy and chilly out there. Took me longer to get ready and unready than it did walking. HOWEVER, getting out the door with the intentions of going for a walk has to be worth something!

Happy New Year LGFers....

When I found out I had celiac disease I has to give up every bit of gluten out there, went from size 14 to size 10 in 6 months. If I were to cut out sugar too I would go down to an 8 easily... It's hard but I was having major abdominal pain with the gluten, so it's a no brainer and I never cheat! But it's soooo hard daily life- walkin thru the break room someone always has cake cookies donuts.... I always had grabbed some. Then Eating out is hard as I have to have reataurant cards in mandarin for the Chinese restaurants, etc. usually tho they cook me up something fresh and it's better than what others have. I'll be happy to talk nutrition more if anyone wants me to, just ask!

I like to vape while I tinker, not tinker in order to vape.

Ok, I did sit ups yesterday (and had to pet the dogs while i was doing them- so I'm sure that counts for extra). Did a bunch of cleaning on new years eve. Just did a short set of shoulder exercises and a teensy bit of stretching. I need to make sure i do a little something everyday, and get back in the habit.

Cutting out things that hurt does make sense arthistorygirl, but it'd still be difficult to avoid the easily available tempting sweet stuff.

Oh, I wanna join too :) My goal is to hit the gym 3-4 time a week this year with DH. I was doing so well all year till September when I got Pnuemonia and I've only gone a few times since (and I've fibbed about it too )
 I'll admit it....I'm LAZY!
I want to lose 5-10 pounds and tone up by Feb when I go on vacation.

When Hubby gets up from his nap we will get our butts up and go! I mean it this time!:lol:

Slow and steady and rebuilding better habits- if i push too hard to start with then i get stiff, and don't do it the next time. Weight isn't really my issue, the distribution is a little off, but the loss of strength and tone-especially with age- is what gets to me.

Report back in Beans- and go even if DH doesn't :)

I really should get the windows cleaned and get to the baseboards soon. All the bending and stretching should be a good workout, of course it would be followed by a day of not doing much of anything!

but dust is a protective coating......I thought I told you all about this!!!

That's my issue! Not the weight so much but the "pockets" here and there :(. I'm fairly fit as a runner but it's hard this time of year with the wind.....plus once snow is everywhere, forget it; I had a friend slip on ice and break an ankle last winter while running. I'd love a treadmill but they are sooooooo expensive and where would I put it??? Hooping is fun but just doesn't give the aerobic workout I'm looking for......and I hate aerobics classes.
