The lambo VV your referring to is not actually stainless steel. It's chrome-plated copper. Many vendors have the chrome ones now, and a few are even saying their SS when really their not. Regardless the chrome one is still nice, but it's not SS and my only concern is that the chrome-plating could possibly wear off/chip down the line. I'm not sure if it would or not bc it depends on how well they did the chrome-plating, but it's def possible. If you want a real SS one, Apollo ecig is the only vendor that has them. I have a SS mini and it is very nice. They have raised the price though since the pre-order bc they were a pain to manufacture and were a lot more expensive to manufacture. I ordered mine from Apollo during the pre-order before they raised the price, and with a 20% off coupon that they had at the time I got my SS mini kit for only $63 which is an awesome deal. Now the SS kit costs $104. So if you want a real SS one youve got to get it from Apollo. I also don't think other vendors are going to try to get SS ones after seeing how expensive they were to manufacture.
If you dont really care about getting a real SS one and are fine with a chrome-plated one, Apollo also has the chrome ones as well as many other vendors like I said earlier for around$75-85 for a full kit.

If you do decide to get a chrome-one, make sure you check what the warranty is for the particular vendor bc different vendors have very different warranties. Some have as little as only a 14-day warranty and some have a 1-year warranty. For example, ivape.net has the chrome kits for $79, but they only have a 14-day warranty. Apollo sells the chrome kit for $84, but they have a 30-day money back guarantee and a 1-year warranty which is awesome and is one of the best warranties out of all the vendors that sell them.
Personally I'd order it from somewhere that has a good warranty but that's up to you. I'd much rather pay an extra $6 and get it from Apollo than pay $79 and only have a 14-day warranty. Also Apollo has free shipping so once you throw in the shipping charge from most other vendors you'd pay about the same price

I'm leaning towards Lava & Provari's type of designs... something nice, weighted and will compliment a big tank at the back. My main concern is, will it be overkill... or just not what I'm looking for. Pardon my reasoning... I'm very new to ecigs and like every new guy, am lacking very much on the basics.

Apart from the considerations on the material, if you want stainless steel you buy Provari but it is very heavy and expensive.
Lavatube is the optimal solution, is light, cheap and very easy to handle with its 4 buttons.
There are two versions of electronic are easily recognized by the frets, model has the key central red, the other model has all the keys of the same color, the difference is important distinguishes the classic lavatube from the new lavatube that delivers 4 amps of current, reads the value of the resistance and more.................the advice I've given in the previous answer.:)

I bought the latest Lambo V4 chrome lavatube with the 3.5 amp switch and ohm checker. Havent got to use it because the floating center pin fell out before it ever even fired. Luckily this was just a backup/for fun pv. I would strongly recommend the Provari if you can swing it. I love mine and never regretted it for a minute.

There are two makers of all the various lava tubes. L Rider and Young June. They are both good units but I would stay away from the ones with the floating center pin, they can get stuck or allow juice to leak inside them only the L rider has this floating connector. Also the Young June has a 3amp limit instead of 2.5. It also allows you to check your Ohms or resistance and your battery strength. Here is a good example of a decent priced kit that includes a Young June.

Variable Voltage 1.5 Mod Kit - Smoke Anywhere For Penny's, LLC Store

Add a vivi nova from Got Vapes and you have a system that rivals anything on the market. No it's not a provari but it's also one quarter the price. It does have all the same options.

Wow anyway to tell what version that is, or if its real? That is crazy cheap.

I've had my Lambo for about a month now and it is awesome!!! The user manual and vendors site said nothing about being able to check the ohms but when i heard about it i figured id try it out and it worked!! I have no complaints with it at all except that people say it looks like a light saber lol. I've heard so much about, but never used, the Provaris. I'm sure they are awesome but I just didn't want to spend that much on my first VV device. Mine is the L-rider version with the floating pin and I have had no issues yet..... Fingers crossed
