It's really hard to "pull it all together' and I have been at this a while. It wasn't cheap either. I am super glad I am stocked for a life time of base but yeah I would be panicky right now honestly without it.
ONE liter of nic can give a person an undue sense of safety. I have just under 18 liters of nic, but I am fairly youthful. I might STILL be unduly um, confident as I don't know how well it's going to store over DECADES but it's about all I CAN do, so I am doing it.
My very last move was drop in coils for the tanks I LOVE and knew I would use forever. Even after a few mechs I hoped I would NEVER use. Etc. I kind of went at it systematically.
I feel like I have tons of flavors, or at least ENOUGH. I don't like a lot of stuff though, like I did not have to test (or want to test) every brand of citrus, strawberry or even mint on the market. OR cherry. Etc. I have lots of flavors I like and some one shots I consider fun, and I do think they will be obtainable.
If you need enough nic for 3 years, a liter of 100 is acceptable, on the short side. But that's IT. If you are in it until DEATH it gets annoying but I did it over time and it made it no cheaper really, just more palatable.
I don't believe nic base will become unobtainable tomorrow. Or even a few months from now. Deep breaths.

How are you storing those 18 liters?
I'm hoping that worst case scenario I have until January 1st. This way I can pick up a couple gallons.
Here's my thoughts on what I'm planning.
In order to minimalise the degradation of Nicotine, I need to slow down the molecules in the entire solution.
VG has a freezing point of -36*F
Nicotine has a flash point of -110*F
Seems to me that it would be more cost effective to get the VG as close to freezing as possible. This would essentially create a cold insulation for the nicotine molecules.
The lowest setting on some chest freezers can be -30*F.
This should minimalise the rate of decay to exponentially extend the shelf life of the Nicotine solution.
So I plan on buying a chest freezer solely for storing my nicotine.
No idea though how long the nicotine would be good for. I can't make any claims since I haven't looked in all sorts of data on this that I hope is already out there.
If I run into the info/an answer somewhere, I'll be sure to post it.
