Just received my lava tube and have been seeing posts about not using double coil cartos. What is the difference between single and double coil carts? (other than the obvious)
I don't know why people are saying you can't use dual coil cartos on these, because I am! I'm using madvapes 2.0 dual coil cartos on my lavatube ! I'm able to run these from 4.5v-6.0v and they work great! they won't fire on any voltage lower than 4.0. At 4.0 they don't put out much vapor at all!
Lava tube has 2 amp IIRC cut off protection. They will fire and it will read the voltage on the screen that you set it to. However the mod pulls back the voltage to make it less then a 2 amp load. = in the 3's depending on the ohm of the coils
The appeal of DCCs is that there's more surface area for the nicquid to contact, which produces more vapor. A 2ohm DCC has 4X the surface area of a single coil 2ohm carto.

6V with a 1.6ohm dcc...try it and you'll understand why. That's all I vape for the exception of a Boge on a 5V and even 5V is weak to me. What I really love in my Krescendo with 2 dcc's set at 6V (I have to use lower nic with that mod).
However, I did bet a LavaTube...poor craftsmanship compared to the ProVari. It's an okay mod...not bad...but I got what I paid for ($65). 10 second cutoff's suck. I guess I shouldn't compare a Corvette to a Chevette.
I tried the DCC's in my LT and I did not really like them much. I went to 2.5 and 3.0 ohm single coil cartos and like those alot more. To each his own I suppose.
