I didnt read the whole thread mostly because im pretty drunk, but I did get a vtube which is basically a lava tube for all intents and purposes. I like alot of things about this device, and ive only be vaping for maybe 3 months. I however really enjoy a very heavy and hot TH... at 6v I cant quite get what I want, there are more expensive mods out there that will provide a stronger more satisfying TH should that be what you desire. If all you want is a VV that does 3-6vs well... a LT or VT will do you well. I am vaping 24-36nic at 5.5-6v and still not getting the TH I desire. To each their own.

Cuz you're looking in the wrong place. Voltage produces heat but has little to do with TH. TH is a product of nicotine content and the absence of VG, which mutes TH. If you're getting 6V from one device, another device that supplies 6V is going to be no different in terms of throat hit. Since you've pretty much maxed out your nic level, your only recourse is to lower your VG and try a different carto/atty.

Tropicalvapors has them for $47.99 mini or full-size AND free shipping. I got mine from there!

Not bad, but that's for the tube only; for $50 you get the Kit from Apollo... same PV, or for $60 the Chrome plated copper, or for $73 the Stainless Steel... all shipped free. Coupon code Vtube30 (I presume the special is still running.) :D

Orbtronic.com has the best battery available, the Panasonic 2250mah CGR18650CH, for $8 shipped.

[/url]

Just wondering: I ordered & received a couple of these batteries (they even gave a little discount for buying more than 1!) but nowhere on them is the name "Panasonic". I'm curious about them... reckon these are some Panasonic wasn't especially proud of & decided to just wrap 'em in gray & scoot 'em out the door? Thanks in advance for any info.... :)

Liberty-flights has them for a great price with shipping it's around $50 USD.

A lava tube is a lava tube is a lava tube. I've had a name brand and two clones and nothing has been different aside from the branding. For the most part these are all coming from the same manufacturers in china.

Nope. They do that with their industrial line as well. They don't label batteries with their own name except some consumer grade Nimh batteries. Their lithiums are either sold to re-labelers, like AW and Kallies or Orbtronics, or they're sold to OEMs for industrial uses. You can look at the testing data in the Lavatube thread and see how good these are. Sanyo does the same thing. It's rare to see a Sanyo lithium with the Sanyo name on it, but they're recognized as some of the best cells there are. Anyway, there are only about a half dozen actual battery manufacturers in the whole world. Everyone else is just a label, including AW.

Actually as I understand it there are at least 3 different (Chinese) companies manufacturing them now, with somewhat different specifications. From what I've read, each has its selling points over the others but they may be close in terms of overall quality (or not; time will tell).

Personally I'm new to varying my voltage & loving every minute of it on my VTube so to anybody who's buying a ****Tube, I hope you enjoy it as much as I am. :D

Good, thanks for the info. Great deal on batteries... got me thinking I probably need a few flashlights too.

There are so many atty's, carto's, dual carto's, Ce2, Ce3, Ce4...ect. As well a combination of tanks that can be put together with any of the before mentioned.

A couple things should be pointed out here. First, when I drink...I also like to have a vape in hand as well. I also like a good TH. I notice that when I drink the TH diminishes as my alcohol consumption increases. It's still a good vape, but the TH is not as strong. It wouldn't matter if I upped the voltage, or nic.

OK...now with all alcohol set aside and out of the picture. I think the wrong kind of thinking is 'I need a higher voltage.'

You didn't mention what kind of atty or whatever, that you were using. But maybe try a different set up. I single coil can give a stronger TH than a DC can. Notice that I used the word 'can'. The LT seems to struggle with DC's.

I was using HV atty's at one time at 6V and then I switched to Ce2's at 3.5V - 4.2V. And the Ce2 gave a more satifying TH than the HV atty's at 6V.

Try different set ups before deciding you need more voltage. And having a VV mod makes it better to dial in to what works best.

These things are horrible I've had four of these all replacements for broken parts from crooked atomizers to bottom cap comming off and button sticking. The lavatube is cheap for a reason my best advice is to save your money for either a provari or a darwin and you will not be dissapointed

I have three and they all work prefectly fine. You're in Hawaii so I'm guessing you bought from Volcano. I didn't by my LT's from Volcano...instead I bought mine from a couple of smaller dealers. I can't comment on Volcano's sevice since I've haven't done business with them. But I feel that with buying from smaller businesses, my order gets more personal attention...and with that I mean...I am more likely to get a product that isn't defective. But I could be wrong. I tend to think the smaller dealers will most likely take the extra steps to make sure what you're buying isn't defective and they may even inspect it themselves before sending it to you.

Unlike a big business who might may be handling lots of orders at a time...and just sending you whatever they have on hand just to fill your order.
