I have both tanks the OP is preferring to. The MadVapes tank is a lot bigger and holds more juice. It's also sharper looking than mom and pops tank.

But Mom and pops tank does have it's advantages. I have the big (5ml) sub tank. And this tank can be used on a cartomizer that wouldn't normally be used with a tank, like the boge cartomizers.

The Mad Vapes tank is longer and you would have to find a cartomizer thats long enough to fit. The Smoketech carto's are made to be used with this tank. And if you want to use other carto's then you would need to use one thats at least 45mm's long, not counting the threaded part that screws into your mod.

The mom and pops 5 ml sub tank I have measures about 37mm's long, or maybe 38mm's long...it's hard to tell with my tape measure.

Mom and pops regular sub. Can't use the 3.0ohm
Boges they sell. I just
Bought the mini cause they sell 3.0 for it.

Not sure if you are confused or misunderstand some of the information you have read. A tank is just a tank and they all do the same thing and that's hold juice in varying volumes to feed the cartomizer. The Ohms on a carto have absolutely no bearing on whether it will fit in a tank or not. The only thing that effects whether a carto will fit in a given tank depends on the size of that tank and the length of the carto. Stainless steal cartos are all pretty generic in diameter. A short tank like the mini sub you can use a standard carto like a Boge or a dual coil or XL carto if that floats your boat but will stick out 1/4" out the top. A taller tank like the reg sub or Smoketech requires an XL carto whether its dual coil or single coil cartomizer. If you wanted to use a standard carto on a taller tank you would have to either trim the tank tube to the right length for it to fit or you could do as I have and use a straight sided long stainless drip tip in the carto to make of the difference.

Hope this helped answer some of you questions....

Cheers...
