I've had my grand for about three weeks. I love it-but really bugs me that you have to keep it upright or the juice will spill from the catch cup into your pocket or wherever. I found the solution with a black rubber washer. looks pretty cool. does restrict airflow a bit, but stays pretty tight. so, ive been playin around with it-just loostening it a bit while vaping (but actually not entirely necessary)...and then when I went into a store and put it in my pocket-I cinched the washer down...no juice!!! yay.

Thanks for the responses. I like the drill hole ideas. Also to rhap and redeye, perhaps I am just not skilled with the squonking totally yet. I typically have a small amount in the cup, but when placed on the side or at an angle, it does run out and onto the top of the grand. I hate getting juice on the mod and on my hands.

I vape at 6V...the other day, I tried a carto...but burned in a few vapes. I pulled the filling out, and the bottom was black. I do love 306s, but IKV HVs dont fit. any recs on another HV 306? maybe i can use a good SR 306?

I used to have this happen to me until I got my technique down. Now I can throw it into my purse without worrying. You shouldn't have juice in your cup when you are vaping. Squonk until you just begin to see some juice at the little holes, then vape. Before you put it down, or stick it in your pocket, vape it almost dry. Unless it is autofeeding, the only way you get juice in the cup is if you set the pv down before you've vaped it almost dry, and the atty releases the juice that it is holding. That is why 306's stay drier, because they don't hold as much juice as a 510, and a carto retains the excess juice in the filling. If it is autofeeding (wetting the atty without you needing to squonk), you can use the reducer tube to prevent it.

For HV, have you tried the dual coil cartos? I don't know about 6v vaping, but I think a lot of REOnauts use the IKV HV 306's. If they don't fit your Grand, you should give Rob a call and see if he can trouble shoot it with you.

You could use that washer and drill a few super tiny holes in it to alleviate the air restriction. Like 1/64" holes. Really really small. The e-juice is too thick to leak out of a hole that size even if you drill 3 or 4...

Howdy Rob. Hope your day is going well. There's some discussion over on the Ikenvape subforum about this very same issue issues. It's being looked at. It's not just the Reo; it's a few other mods. One guy even posted pictures that show one or two IKV attys screwed down as far as they would go and another picture of a different "brand" 306 that screws in properly. The bottom brass ring, on the IKV's don't touch down all the way.

Hugs, Alice

Hello Alice :) Well its been a pain in the but for me I have been testing every mod before it goes out so this isn't a problem for people . I am glad there working on it I thought I was having problems on my end.I thought I was causing the problem when I was pressing the fittings into the mods. Thanks for the heads up Alice :)

I am really enjoying the Empire Mods - Empire Drip Shield. You could get an atty extender (couple of adapters) and you could slide this on and never worry about it again. I get juice in mine and when I get finished vaping I take it off and drip excess liquid right on my atomizer!

I have four and four more arrived today. I haven't even had time to play with them yet. I've read so many great things about them AND even if they didn't work so well, they certainly do bling up any PV.

The purple almost exactly matches my purple Mini. Blue and Red arriving today, if DH stops by UPS store. I'm hoping those will match the Blue and Red Reos too. If not they'll look great on other mods, most just on display now and neglected.

I ended up sending the three new 306s back to isaac, and exchanging them for the HV 510 which rocks. I hope they fix the prob. If I feel a strong urge to use em, I'll get em from another maker.

I have seen the empire drip shield-but thought it was only for 901. I'll take a closer look.

As of now, the washer bit is great. No drip at all.

Can I come visit you in TX and play with all your toys Alice ?? :)
I've only been to TX once and it was Houston on the 4th of July ..... Holy hot !!

Open house; come on. You can sleep on the top bunk in the "kids" room. SissyDog has the guest room. Or you can bunk with us on the muddy recliner sofas as long as you don't mind sharing with the dogs. No bottom bunk bed because I have storage boxes under it. I do have a bunch of toys, from months back, that I've only opened and looked at. And some of them aren't even vaping toys.

I just put tumbled mini to rest for a bit after a good soak in alcohol, blow out, and now air drying. Neglected green/silver and purple/purple Minis are now keeping me company. They are so thankful for the attention. Purpleheart is getting a good cleaning so one of the Woodvils will join the gang.

BTW.... There was a mar on the tumbled door. I wanted to attempt to rub it out a bit. I used a low viscosity brass polish and Q-tip and didn't go at it too hard but when I rinsed it I could see that area looking more shiny. So............. if anyone uses a mildly abrasive polish on the tumbled it will actually polish it and make the spot a little bit shinier. I ended up getting a piece of cotton and doing the rest of the door. I like the finish as it came. I can see that if one wanted a polished it probably wouldn't be too hard to do.

When I was dog showing one of the biggest shows, in the US, was/is held in Houston, in August (or early sept; I forget). We set up crates for the dogs in the hotel and at show site and took them to hotel for the night. We would get up at 0500 to walk them before heading over to the show site. At that time in the a.m. it was so humid it was hard to breath. It actually gets hotter here but not nearly as humid most of the time. We've had a very cool spring. Usually by this time we are in the 90s during the day but temps still drop to around 80 or high 70's at night. In late July, all August, most of Sept, night time temps usually don't get much below 90, if at all, at night. Past few weeks we had a few nights get in the 40's. That is extremely unusual. But very nice and helps lower the electric bill.

My battery 510 passthrough bit the dust the other night. I use it to dry burn all the attys after cleaning, using adapters for 801 and 901. So now the oak/oak Woodvils are filling in, one 510 and one 801, so they are right here by me. Just have to make sure to move them out of reach of doggies when I get up for more than a few minutes.

After pizza, in a few minutes, I'm getting out some toys to sort. Come on over.

Hugs and have a good rest tonight, Alice
