Do you know where the Subtank is leaking from? Obvious would be the air holes which would indicate a loose coil. Remove the tank from your mod, turn it upside-down and unscrew the tank base. Make sure the coil is snugged tightly to the base. It's possible to get a bad seal from the coil to the chimney as well, so check the small gasket in the coil top for obvious signs of damage. And last on the coil is the gasket at the coil base where it screws onto the tank base - make sure it's there. The last obvious place would be the tank gaskets where the glass meets the tank body. Subtanks usually come with a spare set of tank gaskets for you to use.

I can promise you, your subtank is not Leaking due to sitting on any given Mod.

Bad Seal ring - Inspect upper/lower o-rings for glass section. Inspect Glass for any missing pieces(edge chips)
Check O-ring under Coil Head and verify Head is installed securely.

As above, Seals cause leaks most often, second to improper assembly. Heads can on occasion be an issue.
Tanks need to stay under negative pressure to function properly.

*avoid laying tanks on their side for long periods*
