I've been using an I sub g tank with the .05 ohm coils for about 6 months now with no issues. So the last 2 times I bought coils I bought the .02 ohm the first 2 I used worked just like the .05's but the last three leaked profusely I thought maybe I just got some bad ones so I ordered some more I have used 2 already and both leak. I go back to .05 and everything is fine. Is it just the .02's or am I just getting a bad batch?

based on what you said, it seems to be just bad coils.

or maybe you're ignoring something else that you are doing;
like switching between high pg versus high vg liquids.

or environment changes, like driving over a hill;
or vaping in an air conditioned room, then going outside in the sun and wondering why your coil is leaking all of a sudden

Aspire and Kanger Tech are notorious for shipping out bad batch of their coils (including OCC).
You really cannot avoid bad coils now and then.

I honestly suggest purchasing RDAs and build your own coils.
It might seem overwhelming at first, but its actually really fun once you get the hang of it.

I agree 100%

I kicked all of my tanks that use premade coils to the curb just because of spending good money on bad coils.

I was getting coils that had the cotton jammed in there so tight I was getting burned hits at 15-17.5 watts when they were supposed to be good at 30-35 watts.

For a while I used RDAs then got a Goblin mini BC and making my own coils and wicks. Then I got a Kayfun Lite Plus with a bell cap that has flavor almost as good.

I too find making and wicking coils enjoyable.

Neither tank leaks.

Wicking coils takes a knack. You want the cotton tight in the coil but not so tight the cotton. Is unable to slide.

I tried the rba that came with my subtank plus but the ohms kept jumping from .09 to 1.1 so I quit using it right away for fear that something was wrong and not knowing that much about it.

It's possible that one of the screws was a bit loose.

I had a Subtank Nano not the mini. The only thing I didn't like about the RBA was that you had to trap the leads under the screw heads, and the screw heads was about 1/2 of a millimeter away from the barrel.

Perhaps add some cotton and carefully poke a little cotton in each hole. If not enough cotton in them they leak. I just know this from when I remove cotton and dry burn them and insert new cotton if I do not get enough in there they leak. Hope you figure it out. CHEERS!
