Sorry to post this here but I can't post on the new members forum anymore (apparently I talk too much ...)

I ordered a mini (clear) and a regular size (STV metal with window) Vision vivi nova - the mini is great, the regular leaks where the threads are at the top and bottom of the metal tank. I have started wrapping it in a piece of paper towel when I'm not using it and no matter how I try to tighten it there are still small leaks at those two spots. I believe the vendor is reputable and the site clearly indicates products that are "rebranded" or copies or whatever they're called, so I am assuming they are real Vision Vivi Novas.

As I doing something wrong? Are you not supposed to be able to leave them with juice in them when you're not using them? (I also find a Stardust Vision V3(2.0) I received in the same order is leaking, although I have several other Stardusts which have all been great).

Advice please? Many thanks!!!

I bought a metal tube for my mega nova and it leaked till I put on the o-rings that came w/ it...the o-rings for the plastic tank don't work w/ the metal one... my stv only came w/ one set and is very tight w/ no leaks so idk...

Hey, I have 3 Nova's and 2 of them leak exactly as mentioned. I used teflon tape, cut it to size and wrapped the threading. It works like a champ. I can't say how safe this is, but if its ok for water lines I figure it can't be the worst thing I've put in my body. The one that doesn't leak has a noticeably thicker oring vs the other 2...

Sorry to hear about the bad luck you're having with these. The viva and stardust 2.0's have served me well but on occasion the stardust might seep some on me.

For the Stardust...

Sometimes the coil head is a little loose, the tube at the top and/or bottom can get dislodged a bit.
If you run your fingernail around where the metal rings and the polycarb tube meet it should be smooth,
no indent above/below the metal ring. If there is, it can be forced back together easily.

If none of the above apply it could be as simple a fix as fluffing the wick where it enters into the coil and
ensuring the rubber cap is pushed onto the head all the way. Ensure there are no gaps where the wick enters the head.
Some folks lay a thin piece of silica or cotton wick on top of the coil to help seal the unit better.

You're probably not, but be sure not and over tighten the drip tip, it'll pull the top ring up and then the tip won't seal down
onto the rubber cap atop the coil well.

Sometimes they'll just stop seeping all on their own as the wicks expand with juice.

If you'd like to get even more confused I've got some fixes in my blog...CHEERS!

I bought 2 Vivis (the genuine OEM ones) ... they both leaked, only used them once.

For the metal tank anyways, you can try this: PTFE tape available in most building centers. You'll have to fine-cut the tape with scissors and is a bit of a hobby-type project. 1 wrap turn will do.

Are you not supposed to be able to leave them with juice in them when you're not using them?
So far, every Clearo I ever had leaked when not used.
