Leaking...

Hi. Coupla questions about leaking! Why does everything I have leak juice onto the top of the battery? I have 2 Ego-Cs and a spinner, and Im using Evods, mini protanks and boges F17s and everytime I check the battery has juice on it. Sometimes a drop, sometimes a puddle. I've just started dripping ( I LOVE dripping!! ) but find it leaks like crazy half the time- Im spending more time cleaning up juice than vaping! The dripping atty is a Joyetech 510 LR. I only put 1-2 drops in at a time because if I put 3 in it floods and gurgles and it leaks everywhere. Is this why dripping shields were invented? Will a dripping shield stop it from getting onto the battery though? What is the "best" dripping atty? Thanks in advance for any advice!! PS I haven't removed flavour wicks from the clearomisers, juice is 70/30, the cartos leak the least but still a little. I checked seals changed heads etc

It is normal to find a dot of liquid on top of your battery connection. There is a hole in the center of every atty connection.

Anything more than a drop is a problem.

With the EVODs and Mini PTs, check to make sure you have all the pieces of the tanks screwed down firm. Especially the coil onto the bottom plate. Just firm is good enough.

I cant give you specific info about your drippers, but I use cartos in tanks. When they are flooding as bad as you describe, it usually means I have over primed/flooded the carto, or it is no longer a good carto, and it is time to replace it.
It can also mean that the is not a good seal somewhere in the tank system, like a worn or torn o-ring. If the seal is broken, there is no negative pressure in the tank, so the tank is allowing the carto to flood. This same negative air pressure is needed in the EVODs and Protanks.

As Papadragon said the juice is leaking out of the air hole. The 510 connector for evods and pro tanks is the source of the air flow into your tank. if it's only a drop or two then it is just condensation leaking down the air tube and is normal. It's also the reason most of us have paper towel in our pocket. If it's a lot more than that then you need to check the chimney to make sure it is fully seated, if it is tilted even a little you will flood also check the head or coil assembly to make sure it is fully screwed in. I check mine every time I refill my tank, not loose all the time but often. Hope this helps

It is normal for some condensation or a small drop of juice to get on the battery connection, and important to clean it off before charging.

If you're getting a puddle or, worse, enough juice to cut the connection, you do need to check all your seals as previously mentioned. Are all the o-rings still there? Is everything firmly secured-- "finger tight" --without overtightening?

If you've checked all that and still have an issue, you may not be using enough power. If you have a variable voltage battery, try turning up the voltage just a bit. If you do not have a variable voltage battery, you might want to try a lower resistance coil. When I'm using Evods or Mini Protanks on an eGo-style battery, for example, I get the best results from a 1.8 to 2 ohm coil.
