Leaking from the bottom threads. Less than a week old. With so many recommendations for this tank I thought it would t be leaking. Already disassembled and cleaned real good and reassembled. Short of using Teflon tape , and or replacing the plastic tank is there anything I can do ?? Maybe some petroleum jelly on the bottom o ring ???

I have been using mine for two months and have not had an issue unless I cross threaded the tank to the post during reassembly. If you play with your tank like I do you might be unscrewing the tank a bit and that can cause leaks.
Other then these two cases I have had no issues and I carry 2 full tanks in a bag that gets tossed around quite a bit. Did you get a true Vision Vivi Nova or a knock off?

I think I may have got it to stop leaking as bad, some still finds its way past the threads and o ring tho. I am going to try and replace the plastic tank part today , if that doesn't work Teflon tape it is. Just hate that now I need to have another things to worry about (taping the threads)...I believe it is an authentic vivid nova , got it at capital vapors sarasota fl

If it came in a black box with Vision written on it adn 2 spare heads then you did get the genuine tank. Not that the others don't work but you have a higher chance of problems. I have one non- Vision tank and the head that came in it was coated in something that burned my throat something fierce. I have learned to dry burn all heads before first use.

I made sure that the teflon was not making contact with the juice. I have no idea if it would cause a problem, but I did not want to take a chance.

Plumbers use teflon tape on pipe joints that carry water which you drink. Also, when colored brown or black, teflon is used to line non-stick pots and pans. Frying pans get pretty hot: 350 to 400 degrees sometimes. It's safe. I just trim it a bit so it doesn't goof up the center post on the Vivi Novas and Minis.

I often find that wick fibers that are a little too long and extend past the bottom tank threads. It only takes a tiny strand to cause problems. Before assembly using some good lighting I'll trim any wick fibers that could get into the threading. I used to get occasional leaks due to this. I don't anymore. The phenomenon is most prevalent for me with head/wick assemblies that have been through at least one cleaning cycle. This might or might not be the problem.

I've never had to use any type of sealant or thread tape and have been using the same 4 tanks in rotation for months.

I had that happen.... "once"..... I had to actually screw the pieces together a bit more. Seems there are O-rings and you have to do a bit more than tighten them up until they start to feel tight. I've had three for several months and not one of them has leaked since i realized that they actually have to be tightened down. It's not the same tightening as you do attaching them to the power source - the tank has to be tightened all the way. Once I realized this, I never had another leak (except for that one time when I unscrewed the thing and ended up unscrewing the tank instead of the nova....).

Just a thought...

I agree with Gthompson & BWhare. You really have to tighten the head down to the bottom part. I learned that right away & I've had no leaks. I did have a clone that the 510 threads stripped out, but other than that, I still use the original Vision Vivi Novas that I bought many months ago. One of the 3 clones I bought still works, but the other two are trash. No leaks!

Replacing the O-Rings should solve that problem.

I think I found the reason it was leaky, it is a fake. I bought a Mini Vivi nova tonight and noticed the box was different. My 3.5ml nova was in the box on the left. is it a fake ? I replaced the o-ring from a DOE 3.5ml Vivi Nova (Thanks Cleansmokesusa Sarasota) and it is no longer leaking.
