Last week i purchased my first mod which was an Aga UDT-L 510. It has not even lasted a week where the tactile swithch has given up the ghost. Taking it apart revealed flimsy wires, rubbish soldering. What worries me is that i've ordered other MODs and tanks which have not arrived yet which may end up being in the same boat? It may have been a cheap mod but i still expected it to last a little longer than a week.

The more i read around and the experiences people have it seems that a lot of people do follow the masses on product buys. I'm talking beyond the EGO kit now. But one thing that is apparent is how the flooded sales of cheap MOD's are excepted so easily. In the short time i have been vapping the experience of some of the kit has been a bit disapointing. A lot of the top wicked clearomisers, absolute rubbih in my eyes but if you don't know any different then as usual it is accepted.

Now i'm lucky as i like to tinker and build things so not afraid to pull things apart and see how it works, and see whether an improvement can be made. But i am very annoyed that i have wasted quite a bit of money so far to find out. So please buyer beware of cheap, copys and clones.

What worries me is that people in the main do not understand what a well built MOD is amongst all the copy's and clones? I for one admit was blinded by the candy stores as not many of them stock the genuine article. I will say here and now that my mind has only changed over the last couple of days. When my new goodie arrive they will have to do until i can rectify my mistake.

Like Zenesis APV by the way you obviously sport ;-)

Hey moose,

Sorry about the problem you are having.

If i were to offer you any advice, It would be to get yourself a couple of mech`s. if you look after them, There is no reason they woudn`t last you a lifetime.

Terry not a problem, it was nice to see first hand what rubbish really is so i'm not crying too much. I can also mod the todger on this to take a better bashing mate by making it all mechanical :)

Yeah, mechs, as long as you know and follow the safety precautions, should last a long time. I have two mechs, one is half a year old, and it hasn't shown any reduction in terms of performance. It's a cheap mech, btw (Torpedo version 1.5, a Chinese product). The simple design and structure of such APVs are really the way to go if you want to buy stuff that will last.

Kycap i like and hear what you are saying but i will not be going down the route of clones anymore. I shall live with existing purchases until i can upgrade to the real deal. If i build it then i know what i'm getting, i can live with the SS Vamo that is on route but that will be the last. I think it would be good to support UK builds if i purchase anything. Thanks for thinking of me though appreciate it.

Thats true, but in instance i think i will stick to building my own, i should have no problem knocking one up. I wil sit down and do some drawings for what i have formulating in my head and build it next week :)

Drawing my own design and building it= such a wild dream. I'd really love to design and create my own mod but I just don't have the chops for it. At least not yet LOL. For the moment it's just a fantasy, caught in a landslide, no escape from reality. Sorry
