Lee's Summit is a Kansas City suburb with a population of about 100,000. Nothing important has ever happened in Lee's Summit and no persons of great note have ever lived there.

There is now a misguided movement afoot in Lee's Summit to expand smoking bans to include e-cigarettes. The next formal step to advance this agenda is a park board meeting scheduled for Sept. 24.

Here's an article about it in the local paper: LS weighs more smoking restrictions | News | Lee's Summit Journal

It appears that this is being spearheaded by the chairman of the local Health Advisory Board, one Dr. Steve Salanski, a family practice doc. In the linked article, Dr. Salanski parrots several ANTZ talking points.

The linked article does not disclose exactly what rules will be considered at the Sept. 24 meeting.

Update: I've been informed by the dept. of parks and rec. that, at present, there is no proposal before the board to ban or restrict e-cigarettes. It appears likely that Dr. Salanski is laying the groundwork in the local paper for something he's stirring up behind the scenes. I wonder if this is occurring in smoke-filled rooms. :)
