Smoking is like smoking.

vaping is like vaping.

vape is in no way similar to smoke.

Anna...I gotta' say that I kinda' disagree with ya'...(FOR ME...of course)…

I LOVED smoking for 50+ years...inhaling some smoke, exhaling some smoke and getting a hit of nicotine...

I've LOVED vaping for 5+ years...inhaling some smoke, exhaling some smoke and getting a hit of nicotine...

(That probably explains why after taking a few puffs out of my first set-up [which I bought ONLY to use in NO SMOKING bars/restaurants]...then putting it next to my pack of cigarettes...I've never even considered choosing an analog over my vape.)

Nicotine concentration in sub-ohm vaping is generally lowered by half because sub-ohm tanks generally put out twice the vapor of a non-sub ohm tank. So they put out roughly twice the nicotine per draw.

Nic salts have been chemically modified to be less harsh, so have less of a throat hit. That's about it in a nutshell.
interesting, still feel them opossite, also i feel a bold throat hit with salts compared to nic, 03-06mg by the way... those are the concentrations i purchase from freebase...

i have been using VCT 30mg saltz, unique presentation they sold, then got 2 30ml bottles of sadboy tearddrops, they just sell 28mg, thats the thing there lad

I think I've got what you're saying now. I suppose you could say that freebase nic has more throat hit per mg/ml. So 28 mg/ml nic salt might have more throat hit than 6 mg/ml freebase, but it definitely has a lot less than 28 mg/ml freebase. The original point of nic salts was to let people vape concentrations of nicotine that would have too much throat hit with freebase.

well, the original purpose of salts is to bring more satisfaction in less hits, thats why pods are so effective among us, or maybe im wrong,

Oh don't get me wrong I love vaping and I choose it probably 99.9% of the time. If I'm stressed out I may want to smoke, and I may or may not do so (pretty much not, these days.)

But you don't have the kind of unending and undying relationship with cigarettes that I have, without wanting one every day. Cigarettes were my best friend for a LONG time. Honestly, like, when I would put one out, I would think, "goodbye, my little friend."

Cigarettes were the best friend I could always count on, they never let me down, and they were always "there" for me.

So on occasion I want to smoke. It doesn't mean I don't love vaping and all the health and lifestyle benefits associated with it. I don't think I will ever return to smoking.

It's just different, is all. Not in bad way even. Just not exactly the same.

Anna
