"The stainless steel body covers a brass tube, and provides a nice contrast to the copper accent."....I hope to gawd this vendor fixes the problem..

I bought a Private V2 clone as my first mech mod to make sure I wanted to dive into mechs. I knew it was a clone when I bought it. I was told that you could tell a clone if the Grand Vapor logo wording actually reads Gand Vapor. It is slightly hard to make out but mine does read Gand Vapor.

I also noticed that my vent holes in the body are extremely make shift. My 8 year old could have done a better job drilling them out and grinding them.

I would be upset, the brass on there doesn't look too well, copper is way better looking imo. :p

I actually just purchased the M16 w/ Aluminum and Brass, looks pretty boss.

Wish I dropped the extra 10 bucks for the Private SS, but this is just a test to see if I want mechs XD

looks like a private v3 to me
Open: Group buy for the NEW Private V3 by Grand Vapor : NOT A CLONE

It's basically a v2 with SS tubes instead of brass and no copper.

I don't remember there ever being a V1. Sure can't find it. If there was it may have been like this https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005307/1423000-private-v2-telescopic-mechanical-mod
but Grand Vapor must have quickly changed it.
Or they called it a v2 because it came after the sentinel.
not sure.

you get a serial# card with correct serial # on the device?

the button engraving looks good and deep.

It's def not a clone and not a V1.

I really wish they made them in "full" stainless steel - no brass at all.

The Eciggity one is a normal V2 in 350 mode (in 350 mode, all that should be visible is copper bottom ring/cap).

On Grand Vapors official site, there is no mention of one with SS tubes rather than brass. Not saying that's definitely a clone, but if not, I think they've changed out the tubes or something. The reasoning for why they would do that escapes me, but eh...

This is one of the many reasons counterfeiting/cloning is bad.

Dont blame clones.
People have been scamming or getting scammed on eBay since the day it went live.

Buying high end products on eBay is not wise.
Especially products that aren't allowed to be sold there.
:)

I suggest buying legit mods from reputable sites or stores unless you really know what you are getting into.

Also from the same site if you haven't already checked it:

Specs:
- Stainless Steel Telescopic mod.
- Inner Tubes (Brass) Now switched to Stainless Steel.
- - Removed the Copper Bottom Ring and switched it to Brass for durability and stability.
- Locking Mechanism.
- Silver Coated Pins.
- Surface Stability.

So it looks as if you just got one from a newer batch. They really should have called it the V3 officially (I know vendors and that group buy say V3, but on myvape.in and the official site they are still saying V2), or need to update their listings in a bad way.
