Lemo Spits with 50/50 not with 65/35

And I'm totally confused. I've rebuilt my trusty original Lemo dozens of times and never had a spitting problem with 65/35 juice. I tried out a 50/50 and instant spits. So, I drained it out, adjusted the wick to block more of the juice channel and it still spits. Upped the power, still spits. I would think with a slightly thicker juice it would be quite the opposite and, if anything, more prone to dry hits. I'm running a standard Kanthal 1.4 single at around 14W and remain totally confused. Ideas?
