So I have the original lemo, which I have drilled out all of the external and internal airholes, and love how it it hits now. I have been on the fence about the lemo 2 for about a month, and need some opinions. I have read awesome reviews about the lemo 2, and I have read negative reviews about it as well.

I was wanting to hear people's opinion , that have both lemo tanks, about if it was worth it to buy the new lemo if you have the original one. I know the airflow is increased and the side fill hole is nice but that's basically it, it seems like. With my lemo having everything drilled out, it gets pretty good airflow. So it all comes down to: would you recommend buying the lemo 2 if you have the original?

I have both, and my original Lemo is also drilled out (just the 4 stem holes, I left the outer 4 untouched). I thought drilling it made a substantial improvement of the Lemo 1 at the time, but I can get quite a bit more airflow from the stock Lemo 2 than my modded Lemo 1. I would recommend it. The minor 1 ml of capacity you lose is easily made up for by the 10x easier/faster fill time.

I have a couple of lemo drops and just received the lemo 2 last week. Love the convenience of the fill hole and adjustment for airflow for the lemo 2 but flavor drops a little for me versus the lemo drop.YMMV Also, the quality of build for the lemo 2 seems to be a little better. I picked up the lemo 2 for $29.95 and would buy another one.

I vape with a high VG and always had wicking problems with my Drop. I was reluctant to buy the Lemo 2 but I was really digging the huge chimney and the side fill, so far I have had no dry hits with the Lemo 2 at all. I would recommend it. myvaporstore.com is selling extra tanks for $2 you may as well pick one up while your at it

My favorite tank before the Lemo (V1) was the Nautilus and I thought the air flow was hugely improved over let's say a Protank 2. But when I got the Lemo, (and opened the air flow to maximum) I think the air flow is amazing/best I've ever had.

Reason for post is to ask what's the purpose for drilling out air holes? Does it stop the whistling sound or did you think the air flow was lacking? I would be surprised to hear the latter since this is the most airflow I've ever experienced. Have you had another tank that had "stock" more airflow?

Drilling out the airholes and center pin allows you to take in more airflow. This also allows me to vape the lemo at higher wattage because of the increased airflow. my lemo 1 hits amazing at 40-50 watts, and has no problem with high VG juices.

Is the center pin what the air flow dial is around? Send a pic of the center pin drill out if you don't mind please.

I'm waiting for a Smok XPRO M80 to arrive so I may need to do similar modifications to allow for higher heat with using the Lemo on it.

I don't have the Lemo Drop but I have Lemo 1. Lemo 2 is an improvement vs Lemo 1 for sure. Flavor might be similar to me but material, top fill, air flow... all better. It looks better as well overall. I like the design of the drip tip but doesn't like the width

For wicking issue, have you tried to comb your cotton? I was having STM problem and I was being helped to make proper wicking. With STM, I am doing .... kickers wicking style and although STM still have some issues that I don't fond of (spit back although flavor from STM is good), the Lemo 2 to me seems not as finicky in its built compared to STM. I just comb the cotton so they would get juice faster and do the ear bunny style wicking... then push the cotton slightly to the deck like normal. I don't create unobtrusive area for the juice to flow into the deck chamber such as the STM.

As another option, try this wicking method:

Cotton Well Wick Method (pics added) | E-Cigarette Forum

No bunny ears or pancakes. Shape the wick to form a well, and carefully install the lower chimney. The side wall of the chimney forms the back of the well, with the cotton forming the rest. It works, no leaks, no dry hits, etc.

I have both, and the previous posters' comments regarding the benefits of the increased airflow and top fill are spot-on. However, if you're planning to use the tank for TC, I'd highly recommend the Lemo 2 over the Lemo Drop or full-size original.

No matter what I tighten, clean or otherwise fiddle with, I can't get a consistent resistance reading with nickel wire in my original Lemo or Drop. However, the Lemo 2 works perfectly and consistently gives the same resistance reading regardless of refilling or removing the tank. May just be mine, but considering I had this issue on all 3 of my original Lemos (2 full-size, 1 Drop) but not on either of my Lemo 2's, I'm confident saying the Lemo 2 is designed better for TC.

The problem with getting consistent resistance readings on the Lemo with a TC build is due to the adjustable positive pin. I used a couple small O-rings from one of those key chain screwdrivers and it fixed my problems using the Lemo on both the SX Mini M Class and the IPV4. The IPV4 adjustable pin has fewer issues, but there was always a discrepancy with the detected resistance.

Here is the thread I made on it -
