Less hissing, more crackle

Anyone out there who uses cartos have this issue? Sometimes when I fill the carto with juice I get that nice crackle when I vape and others it's just a straight hissing sound the entire time with no crackle as if it's almost empty, but it happens whether it's completely full or near empty.

Any remedies? Is it just the juice, the carto?

I'm using Boge 510 LR's by the way

I get a good crackle and hiss all the time in a carto-tank. When it's going south, that's when I believe it does it less.

That's why I like tanks- they don't go from full to empty and give those different hits- it's always a good one.

I do tanks as well, but carry cartos so I can switch it up on the go (I like variety). It happens with new and old cartos, but mostly notice it with new ones, probably because I go through cartos like nobody's business. I don't get it.

Well, Boges have been having alot of problems lately- if they don't burn up quick or taste horrible- you're ahead of the game.

I myself have been a long time user and won't be going back to them until I hear real great things. Many here have given up on them also.

The only reason I use cartos now is because I have a ....load of them laying around.

New to all of this and trying to decide whether I should order some mini viva novas. Do you think they give better flavor/vapor then carts? I have seen really good reviews on them, only down side is maybe having to swish the juice around to make sure the wicks stay wet if the tank gets low. I have 1 cartomizer left and have 4 blank ones, from ikenvape, on the way, so I am not heavily invested in carts at the moment.

Every way of vaping is going to deliver the flavor a little bit differently and everyone has their preference. Taste and style is so subjective the only way to tell what is best for you is try it. I spent quite a bit of money initially to find out what works for me. Now that I've found what works for me it's more of just trying things that catch my eye when I see something I like. There are lots ( per forum posts) that think the Vivi Novas mute the flavor, me included. Others think they're the best thing going. So it really is a personal taste thing.

I can tell you I just got some Boge xl sr pre-punched (new & new stock) from Vaporheads and they are the best cartos I've used to date. Lots of users also swear by the Boge 801 Fusion carto. You would need an adapter to use them (I haven't tried these yet).
