My GR Modders ring cuts off air flow with all my tanks... even the Kir Fanis Fotia that has air cut-outs! My hubby drilled two holes in it and had to cut some half moon notches in the top inside edge also. It sits tight and works now but I got my SS hippo today! :) I probably won't use the ring much anymore.

Oce, read the OP again. I think you scanned through the fact that the OP has ordered the shortest IBT tube.

I'm stool waiting for mine to ship but I won't be much help because I chose a couple standard length sets.

I think I understood the post (which sometimes doesn't happen), my point was that since he already had the 22mm diameter caps (the most expensive part) he could just get replacement tubes in standard or XL if he wanted to experiment.

I only mentioned it because sometimes I can be one coil short of a carto and I was just about to order my second standard size IBTank, when it occurred to me that the 19mm caps on my other 4 tanks would fit on 19mm tube no matter what it's length. Doink.

No worries. I was pointing out that compact was the goal, and that OP had ordered the halfling, so getting a standard or xL was not a means to that end.

And apparently I'm "stool" waiting for mine...... Whoops. Hope my legs don't fall asleep.

I don't have any air flow issues with the IBTanks. My Pro Rings are from Bomb Vapor and they do spin freely no matter how snug the tank is, probably why I don't have an airflow problem.

I'm determined to get my rings locked down in place. I have no issues notching channels in the bottom caps of a 22mm tank if need be. I guess we'll see when my IBTs get here. I'm stool waiting. :D

I don't want my rings spinning and wobbling.

I wouldn't be so OCD about the Pro Rings being able to spin. Unless you manually move them with your finger, you'll never notice that they can spin. They don't rattle or wobble.

If you saw my vapestation you'd know that OCD doesn't apply to me. Hahaha

But I get what you're saying. I'm still waiting for a variety of 22mm tanks to arrive. But as long as they don't rattle or wobble, I'll be satisfied. The IBTs have shipped, so I should be able to end my wonderment soon.

I want to try a MAP splash tank at some point. Any input on those, other than the price-to-value imbalance that I've read about?

Don't own one. They look very similar to the 22 mm IBTanks with colored anodized aluminum caps but more expensive. What's the appeal?

Just want to know it all. Maybe some tanks will mate better with the rings than others. I'm sacrificing my income so others won't have to to get to the same end result. I'm trying to unlock achievement: tank/pro-ring martyr. :2cool:

Some things do mate better with rings...
