Although I got two A7 RBAs...I was a complete failure in trying to do the wire/wick thing and not have it be so harsh it 'bout tore my throat out. And that was using a Bogger box. I certainly didn't have enough success to attempt putting the thing on my beloved Vmod! I know it can be done, however. I think someone even told me no modding required? You just remove the cone and chimney and the A7 keeps things together itself? I think? Sorry I'm useless in this area at this time. After damaging my throat so bad (yes I did check tne ohms before firing) I've been real gun shy and suspect RBAs will never be for me. Good luck to you! Hopefully someone will come along and help you out better!

I've done the harsh throat hit before with some rba's that I tried to get to work. Never could get them to do the right thing, that's why I got rid of them. Even though I'm trying to get rid of some of my tube mods, I'll still keep a couple of them for giggles. I also will continue to use my bottom coil cartos, mainly for the fact that I can rebuild the heads for them and make them last a long time.

Now to find another atomizer that I can use besides the Shifu. Not that I think it's a bad one, it's just hard to justify spending the cost of one to the Boss Lady. But I'm trying.

If and when you find some other attys to use that are worth it, please share. I was thinking of buying a few from empire mods to give a try
Crocky, I'll do that for sure. I just ordered 2 of these from Discount Vapers. I've used them a lot in the past, Eric is a stand up guy, stands behind what he carry's, has great shipping and prices that are better then most out there. I would highly recommend him.

510 Bridgeless Atomizer - Black - 2.0ohm I ordered a black and a stainless one. I'll let everyone know how they work as soon as I can.

I've purchased from DigitalCiggz as they have bulk attIEs available. Joyetech 510s for as low as 1.75 each (yes, you read that correctly, LOL) if you buy 25, or less than 2 bucks each if you buy 5.

Some cartos are more than 2 bucks each! :D

Well I took the plunge today and managed to get my hands on a new A7 at a reasonable cost. I've never used a dripper before and certainly not used anything on my Vmod besides the slants that I got when I ordered mine.

I'd like to hear from anyone that has used an A7 and what exactly you had to do to get it to work. I'd really hate to muck it up and not be able to enjoy it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, as I know a lot of people have better things to do then answer questions that could be answered by doing a little research.

One thing I have noticed about this thread, the people that hang out here seem to be a lot nicer then some of the other ones I keep track of. No one seems to think they are above or better then anyone and I for one really appreciate that.
Thanks again for all the help.:)
Just did this set up myself. You'll need a 510-510 connector and a couple O-rings. Unscrew the collar that goes down into the juice well, put the O rings on the 510 extension up at the top. Put the body back on and screw your atty on. It will be what holds everything together. You'll be walking a fine line with the O-rings between having enough air flow and not leaking. Next step for me is to put the rings so they block the holes entirely and drill a new one in the top cap.

Katdarling how are the joyetech atties you get compared to the vapage slant coils? That is an excellent price!

I work p/t at my local b&m I have tried every Atty under the sun. They all work just not as well as the Shifu or HH .357. The closest I found was a Baughway 306 but after factoring in the drip tip needed they cost more than the Shifu

I agree with you, Low. They work and are good to have in the arsenal for the bang-for-your-buck, but the Shifu Spec Slants (and the 357s) are imo better. As with anything vape gear related, I often think it's just good to try it for yourself. The world seems to just ADORE Kanger Protanks. Me... not so much love there, but I had to buy one and give it a whirl.

Thanks for the info, it's just what I needed to know. I have a o-ring kit that I picked up from Harbor Freight, it's all metric with 225 pieces from 3mmx1mm to 22mmx4mm. I should be able to find the right o-rings in it. If not, I can always look through my collection that I've saved from throwing away cartos, atties and what ever else I can rob that pertains to vaping.
My A7 got shipped today, now it's just a waiting game till it gets here.

But Im thinking in a differnt RA, the Reomisor2, it gets its air from the top, liquid from the bottom, Im worried about the A7's elevated liquid port to feed the wick, the RM2 is a ceramic basin that can support the coil without shorting , pool the liquid to the wick, not sure about the tipping of the Vmod wether a hose is needed or if wick blah blah not sure

Just a quickie that I was fooling with today, seeing what would work and how much I would have to do to make it work.

That one is a Vision Eternity mounted with 1 510 to 510 adapter. Works pretty good, has just the slightest gap between the case cover and the device it self. I tried various size o-rings but most cut the air flow off. Have to find the right one so I can not be concerned about getting the drip well full and leaking.

This is the inner works from a Terminator tank that I was messing with. It has 2 510 to 510 connectors. Again I'm going to have to find the right o-ring so it will draw right and keep juice in the drip well.
All in all, just stuff that goes thru my little pea sized man brain. Makes my Boss Lady wonder about me though but that's what makes life interesting I think.;)

I was wondering if the RM2 would work myself. But at almost $45 just to see if could is not an expense I'd consider. And since I'm not much of a dripper, heck I've never dripped before(now that does sound strange!) I wouldn't be able to use it any where other then my Vmod.

Not so sure about that 901 on a vmod. You need a 510-901 adapter and I believe you have to drill a hole in it. 901's are a nice flavorful and cool vape, though.

306's are good and some say warmer, but best if you get the taller drip tips for them when using on a Vmod.

Might be time for me to revisit my experience with the 901 atty on a VMOD. One of our own dear sweet VMODians sent me a drilled 510 to 901 adapter so that I could use the 901 atty in my VMOD. I prompty put it in. Attached the atty and voila!

So I thought...

Oh boy... NOT good. When it came time to remove it, I spent nearly a full day (with help!) trying to get the 510 to 901 adapter out of the chamber! Beware 901 lovers...

I have tried a 901 from Avid. They had a hole already in the bottom of the atty to be able to work on the Vmod. It was an ok vape, but still not like the 306's. I had to be careful not to vape it while lying down as the 901 had a tendency to overfeed easily and would leak out of the cone if held at an angle for too long. The adapter was a little tricky getting it out of the Vmod when I went back to the 306's. It came out easy enough with a pair of needle nose pliers. I just always find my way back to the 306 atty. Been looking for almost 2 years now to find something that is as consistent and that lasts as long as the 306's, to no avail yet. A lot of the other atty's I have tried are a good vape at first, but within 48 hrs, fall off dramatically. The Slant coils lasted about a week, then I have to throw them out, (even after cleaning), they just aren't even remotely close to how they vaped brand new. I don't even have to clean the 306's and they vape very good for about 4 months straight. I just cannot enjoy my vape unless it is consistent...
