But Im thinking in a differnt RA, the Reomisor2, it gets its air from the top, liquid from the bottom, Im worried about the A7's elevated liquid port to feed the wick, the RM2 is a ceramic basin that can support the coil without shorting , pool the liquid to the wick, not sure about the tipping of the Vmod wether a hose is needed or if wick blah blah not sure
The elevated liquid port (combined with the 510 extension) does mean you have to squonk fairly hard. It also makes it impossible to suck juice back into the bottle if you over squonk. I tip to feed after using about a third of what's in the bottle. All in all I don't think it's well designed for a bottom feeder. I got it because I wanted an rba for a bottom feeder and only knew of the A7 & the RM2. This will work OK but needs some modding. Not sure if I want to do the tube mod so I don't have to tip or come up with something to fill the cup so I can reverse squonk

I have tried a 901 from Avid. They had a hole already in the bottom of the atty to be able to work on the Vmod. It was an ok vape, but still not like the 306's. I had to be careful not to vape it while lying down as the 901 had a tendency to overfeed easily and would leak out of the cone if held at an angle for too long. The adapter was a little tricky getting it out of the Vmod when I went back to the 306's. It came out easy enough with a pair of needle nose pliers. I just always find my way back to the 306 atty. Been looking for almost 2 years now to find something that is as consistent and that lasts as long as the 306's, to no avail yet. A lot of the other atty's I have tried are a good vape at first, but within 48 hrs, fall off dramatically. The Slant coils lasted about a week, then I have to throw them out, (even after cleaning), they just aren't even remotely close to how they vaped brand new. I don't even have to clean the 306's and they vape very good for about 4 months straight. I just cannot enjoy my vape unless it is consistent...

I have heard a lot of good things on the 306's too. I have looked at them from a couple of places over the last couple of weeks, just waiting to pull the trigger. Any place in particular you get them from. I am going to stock up on the slant coils next 50% off sale but searching feverishly for some back ups. I understand you need a 306 drip tip but the bottom of the 306 is 510 threaded right, you don't need an adapter for them do you?

As for the slant coils, this will be the first time I have cleaned them in a solution so we shall see. So far a have rinsed, blown out and reused and seem fine. The only issue I have is some of them have lowered the resistance making them unusable but so far out of 6 I have tried, two or three have done that. They go pretty low too like 1.0 and .87. I just tossed them

I'll take those low ohm slants off your hands. I enjoy the lower ohms

I tossed them, they were not made to be that low and were the original 2.0, but changed and went back and forth between numbers so I did not feel like they were safe to even use anymore and worried it would cause a short.

On another note. Anyone ever try it measure the ohms on the slant atties on ohm checker, like the little black box that you screw the head into. I can never screw my slant coil atties on to it so I typically have to use a tube mod to read it. Seems the atty threading is not deep enough or something. I always like to check my coils before use.

That's a common problem. I have a 510/510 with ego adapter on mine

Cisco LR306 Atomizer + Drip Tip Special - Avid Vaper

You will need the XL drip tip for use on the Vmod XL. I actually cut about 1/4" off the drip tips I use. I don't like anything too awfully long on my XL. There is about as much as the shorty 510 drip tip on a 510 sticking out of the cone. I use the 1.5Ω exclusively. Been using Cisco spec atty's now for 2 yrs now...

that's exactly what and from where I ordered. From working my way through this thread. I'm only on page 150 though.

I would totally try the isopropyl method except you can't get it at pharmacies in this meshuggene country. They have something called Isocol which is heavily fragranced. I tried that once to clean my old EGO-T atomizers (was that only 18 months ago?) and let's just say it rendered them unusable.

I wonder if peroxide and soda would work. Or maybe the denture-tablet method...?

How about Everclear? Can you get that down under? If not, I'd look for the strongest vodka you can get your hands on.

Yeah, cheap nasty vodka is my game. Everclear is not available under that brand name, but there is a 95% alcohol "rectified spirit" from Poland that sells for the princely sum of $60 per half-liter bottle. Ain't gonna be cleaning no atomizers in that. (That's more than I pay for the booze I actually DRINK!)

The rubbing alcohol I use or have is only 70% isopropyl. I assume the other part is just water. Can you get it at a higher percentage? I have not even looked in stores. Just used what I had in the cabinet. Seemed to do fairly well with the exception of one, where the coils still look dark. Wish I could find some type of soft bristle brush I could fit in there so I don't mess up the coils when I brush it off. I also have some white vinegar I thought I would try. If it takes coralline algae off a fish tank then it should also clean coils....

For my RBA coils I use a clean mascara brush. Wonder if you could bend one to fit into a Shifu...?

I was trying to use "cheap nasty vodka" for months and it just didn't do as well as the isopropyl. Can you get Everclear like BadDaddy suggested? Pure grain alcohol?

EDiT- NVM I just reread your previous post. There's got to be sone way. Buy online?

Ordering ethanol from overseas is just begging for Customs to take a long close look at all shipments to me, which is bad since I get all my nic juice from either the US or China. Not keen to put myself in that position.

I'm sure I just haven't looked hard enough at online sources. I can get alcohol swabs for disinfecting cuts. My sister-in-law is a manicurist...maybe she will have a lead. I think that nail salons use iso for gel manicures...?

70% is the highest you're gonna find (it comes in 50 & 70%) and you're right the rest is water or sometimes fragrances.
