Great tutorial Eddie.

Found the A7 to be the easiest rda to use for a VMod, as said 510/510 and a couple of o rings and done.

Must confess my experiments with it didn't last long as the Shifu's were launched so started to just use them.

I'm a big fan of the Shifu slanties, too! The only thing that drives me kind of around the bend is how the ohms will drop so quickly with them. I can't abide an atomizer below 2ohm. And on my Vmod...I don't like anything as high as 2.5 (and the 2.5ohms aren't slanties, anyway). But when the Shifu works...man oh man! Do they word good!!!

Great tutorial Eddie! I don't have problems with the RDA's, it's the gennies that get me!
Been playing with my Vmod a LOT of late! I really like this little sucker! It took about 3 days to get the true taste of the juice, but I'm going on two weeks so far on the i06. I don't think I can complain about that at all!
Even been toying with the idea of getting the XL someday. Not sure I want something that big or not. Heck, I may even break down and get a REO now, GASP!
I know I'm sounding like an Ikenvape fanboi now, but I'm truly impressed with this i06!

Edit, I keep forgetting! Welcome AV8!

Alright, we'll set up your Aga-t. Assuming from your post it'll be on the provari. With a mechanical I'd suggest 30g kanthal. I'll throw together a start to finish... The DID is a little tricky but,I think once you have your aga-t figured out you'll get the DID... Just a regular propane torch should do...

Nice tutorial Eddie, always so helpful. I can never figure out how to pull my wick through an already rolled coil. I know it should be easy but I just can't get it to go through without messing up the coils every time. I have an igo L which i want to read up on how to use on the vmod. Just have not gotten around to sifting through the info.

If it's silica you make the coil around it. With natural if it's woven you can feed it through with a needle or if it's loose roll it tight enough to feed smoothly through. Will expand quite a bit. A bead threader or whatever it's called in jewelry making would help too. I was able to feed 2 whole strands of my 1mm hemp twine through my coils.. when I made smaller ones I would feed one whole piece through then separate another into individual pieces and use a needle thread however many fit..

It's good to figure out what size drill bit or toothpick makes a coil that's a good size for the natural wick material you're using if it's a woven type..

If it's really grabbing the coils it's too much wick. You can disturb the coils a little and re-adjust once done...

Now, once you drill the top cap you'll be attaching coils like this. Both legs feeding into the posts on the same side. MUCH easier IMO. Make your coil the same depending on what you're doing. Silica or natural.

Always liked the the small space in the center. Covers more area and is like two little coils.

Then feed your cotton through.. or with your silica

Enjoy and ask away..I really tried being thorough..
Don't get discouraged and try try again

Great work on these tutorial posts Eddie ! IMO some blog entries with this information would be appropriate, just to make it easier to reference. Just my :2c:

Aww. I'm blushing. There's better tutorials out there though. I just want to see you(Fourth) enjoy all your devices. I still use my slant coils every now and then.. my genny when I'm around the house..

We get you started and next thing you know you're dual micro SS wicking gennys at .4ohms...

Have you tried yet?

I have the trident from fasttech. Drilling the adjustable brass center screw was quite easy. However, the dual coil standard air inlets were WAY too big and airy for me even though they're adjustable. So I lined up the smallest hole meant for single coil set up and drilled the same size hole opposite it. MUCH better but, it was a complete PITA.
SS isn't easy..
That's all I know about dual coils. I like all the options on the trident. It's a little tough fitting everything together with the tight O-rings but, worth it once aligned. I wouldn't say dual coils are better just different. Increases your nicotine a lot though...

Hurray, vape mail came for me yesterday. I finally received my order from Fast Tech, even with the added hassle from Chinese customs or what ever they are called, I got my order, Received the following:

The Juk is a knockoff of an E Baron(I'm just guessing here as I don't own an E) I wasn't aware that no 510 drip tips would fit it, not use to that, may take some getting use to. It looks cool on either of my Xl's , can't comment on how it works though. Neither of my 520 adapters will work, I even tried taking the body off to see if it would fire, but no luck. And I've had my adapters so long I can't remember where I bought them. I tried a longer extension and it fired but it was way too long, about a half inch to my guess. Now I need to scour the net to find an adapter that will work for me.
The V5 looks cool too but like any rebuild-able, it needs some work on it, like drilling the center pin so it will feed right. It already has an air hole on the body. Just haven't had the time to take to work with it yet. Should be interesting though, as I've never used a dripping device before and it has a dual coil set-up.
I charged the batteries last night and put them in this morning, so I run them to see how they stack up to the ones I already have.
Just measured my adapters, they seem to be about 11.5 cm, hard to judge since I don't have a micrometer to do a good measure. Does anybody know how long the adapter needs to be and where I could pick one up.
Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. And let's keep vaping our favorite mod!
