Letter Change Game

OK you guys seem to like games so how about this one?

The idea is to only change one letter.. for example, if the word is time.. the next person can change the letter i to an o to make tone.. and the next person can change the t to a c and make the work cone.. lets give it a try.. Lets start the word to be:

Now hold on a minute here. If the word is TIME and I can change ONE LETTER and I change the I to an O the word would be tome, not tone. Now I know I only went about a mile to school but I know that's three letters I changed and besides these words are pretty big for me. Could we start out with a word like IT so that I can kinda get the hang of this?
