#1: Battery goes positive up only.

+ ↑

the metal comprising the bottom contact runs right up the side of the battery. So, if the battery jacket is compromised, you want everything touching that metal to be same/same, all negative. You can't be having the positive nose touching the bottom contact and the exposed side (ground, body, negative) of the battery touching the same piece of metal. That's a face-blo right there.

The pricing post (above) has been edited to reflect a couple of changes. One might notice the addition of 2 new varieties of mod. I'll do a little post with pics of each of those down ↓ there somewhere (soon). The other is a slight increase in price on the Li'l Pinch Mod. This is an adjustment related to the cost of the new 510 assemblies I've had made for the mods. Perhaps I'll wade into that stream right about now . ..

caveman-1523.gif
THE SHORT:
got new 510s, custom.
mods cost a bit more.
tinker-modders, want one too?

So, in the interest of fitting the mods I make with a better quality 510 connector than I had found ready-made, I sought the help of my friend at the machine shop which made the Nuppin' V2, here in the USA. While at it, I implemented all the wee factors that I think comprise the ideal mech BF 510 assembly. Our aim here was precision, quality and consistency (things that I've found this particular machine shop to have quite a knack for). I got a lot of great input from some friends here too, like Steve and Corey, and I'm greatly appreciative.

I had to order up quite a few of these and shared the load with a good friend. However, I do believe there's still enough of them that I could part with a few, should anyone be interested. Might help with a mod project, IDK. Please bear in mind that these parts are a "complete package" only in my thinking, as I'm making all the parts that provide the electrical connections separately, by hand, to execute my mod design. Look closely at what you're getting, and PM me with questions if you're not sure of something.

All that said, here's how I've figured on laying out some options for my fellow tinkerers, and of course for Pinch & Nutter Folk.

Yeah, so ↑that all might seem a bit . . . IDK, excessively categorized? over-thunked? . .. but it's exactly because I don't want to be in the business of 510 hardware salesman-ing , assembling wee li'l custom orders, that I took a few minutes and figured out how I want to offer this. I really do want this gear to be available to the hobby modders on ECF, and so I'm doing my best to make it available to y'all in tidy little packages that hopefully cover all the bases. And, of course, I needed a good reference post for Pinch peeps. ;)

Interested? Questions?: please PM me or inquire on the Li'l Pinch Mod Thread.

So, here are a couple of Li'l Punch Mods. This is a dual battery mod (running in series, 8.4V nominal) that I based on the chassis of the Li'l Pinch. No squonk here, folks, just .. . well . . . punch. I've adapted the internal circuitry to run the 2 batteries in series, and where I don't need juice-feed to the atty, I've gone ahead and substituted a solid Silver +contact pin in the 510 connector.

(I usually take pics right after final assembly and test firing, hence the truly gorgeous atty with the tester coil in it)

This design (the dual series) would really be best suited for someone with a little bit of experience building safely for mech and a little bit of common sense.

And here's the Giggity-Nutpunch (Nutter). With my friend Gig's urging and willingness to guinea pig, I decided to combine the concepts (circuit structure and internal layout) of the Pinch and Punch. So, here again we're running dual batteries in series; but all squonky.

MINIMUM BLANK SIZE: 1-7/8 X 1-7/8 X 4+"

Here's Gig's completed mod . ..

Here's a couple-three that I'm chiseling away at as we speak. These are at "first coat of finish" stage. Still pretty rough looking . .. .
works in progress.

I will not be selling vape gear to WA State residents. This will be a strict policy for me; albeit mostly moot, as not a single person on my list of mods requested is a resident of WA State. So, it kind of wouldn't be happening anyway. I simply wish to make it formal and clear that I will no longer sell vape gear to Washingtonians (the State, mind you, not the philosophy . .. . not as popular as Jeffersonian Deism . . . . still, a philosophy embracing the wearing of wooden teeth, chopping down cherry trees but not lying about it, and standing on the prow of a wee boat in some frigid-cold weather . .. and good, I guess, in that it is what it is).

Anyway . . . where was I? . . . Oh yeah:

WA state passed legislation earlier this year regarding our beloved, life-saving, harm reduction. It is actually rather logical and reasonable, and I sincerely hope it is effective in keeping kids away from vaping (and, I assume, sticking with the swisher sweets they are accustomed to? . . . IDK). The Bill, SB-6328, becomes effective, takes effect, "goes live", on June 28, 2016. And my policy of not selling to WA residents goes live now, in deference and adherence to the letter and spirit of said legislation.

so . .. . boom . . . c'est la vie.

Nuppin' distribution is looking like it's gonna go down the first week of August.

Our friends at the machine shop have been fabricating the various parts over the course of this week. Still some work to do there, and/but things are going well. It seems quite likely that I'll receive the completed atties sometime next week and be able to send them out the following, then.

OK, so the Nuppin' arrived today, and they look great! :w00t: Inspection netted an A+. I will begin going through the list tonight (and mostly in the next couple of days here). Here's how this is going to work (as far as I have any control over it).

I will contact folks on the list; asking you for:

YOUR NAME & SHIPPING ADDRESS
YOUR EMAIL
(if you want tracking/notification)
INSURE PACKAGE? . .. Y/N ("no" will be the default if you don't specify)
YOUR PREFERENCE ON PAYMENT FORMAT (I will list options, we can discuss)

Once you've replied with all that information for me, I will give you a total and the appropriate address for remittance.
I intend to ship within 24 hrs of receiving payment. Shipping notification will be an email from USPS, w/ tracking#.

IF you choose to buy insurance from USPS, please be sure to state clearly in the notes/memo accompanying your payment that you are buying X # of Nuppin'. If you need to file a claim, I will be happy to be of assistance, providing whatever documentation/testimonial you may need. (You're filing the claim, tho . . . on your insurance.)

If nothing is otherwise discussed, all Nuppin' sent will be fully Stainless Steel, and all packages will be shipped "straight" Priority, Small Box (no insurance).

PAYMENT:
There will be no PP. They don't "do" vapers, and we don't "do" them.
GW, check, m.o., Pop or online transfer service . .. all good.
Details/options can be discussed via PM.

PRICING:
One Nuppin' Atomizer = $95
USPS priority = $7

Here's one Nuppin' Atomizer:

28095940723_954e5487e0_n.jpg

It will come with 2 spare screws (M2 x 0.4mm Pitch x 2.5mm Length) and a wee hex key (0.9mm size). Like this:

28679082126_8efa85af11_z.jpg

When shipping in quantity, I don't like generating fancy plastic waste. I've devised a simple, recyclable packaging solution that will protect the atties and not generate a lot of garbage. A paper tube and staples creating cells. Each stapled cell has something in it. (i.e. don't throw out your spare screws and hex key!)

28095930393_c435aef3c7.jpg

The atties were washed before they left the machine shop. They smell like washy-stuff. However, for real now, I'm washing mine before I build it. There's a difference between giving a batch of atty parts an industrial cleansing . . . . . . and one person carefully washing their one atty because they're going to vape through it. (psst . .. if you get a Black Topcap, don't put it in the magic do-hickey .. . the sonic cleanser thingy)

OPTIONS:
If you would like to substitute Topcap or AFC on your Nuppin' order, I can offer an atomizer with Black (anodized Aluminum) Topcap, and/or a Copper AFC Sleeve. So, if you want to change it up a bit, please specify one of the following for the hat (TC) and collar (AFC: AirFlowControl Sleeve) on your atty:

Black TC w/ SS AFC sleeve
SS TC w/ Copper AFC
Black TC w/ Copper AFC

28095937963_9d57e1c4e2_z.jpg

28427214870_f6334ebc2a.jpg

EXTRAS: (for now, or to get later, or to get for an older Nuppin' )

I've ordered some extra V2 Center Pins (+posts) for the atties: $13.50
and some extra V2 PEEK insulator sets (top and bottom insulator): $7
I have some extra screws (beyond the 2 you're already getting): $2.50 (set of 3)
I have some extra O-rings: $2.50 (set of 4, 2@1x10mm & 2@1x11mm)
I have some extra V2 atty bases (naked, or w/ pin and insulators): $40 naked, $65 loaded for bear (pin, insulators, screws, o-rings).

I mayyyyy be able to sell separate/extra Black Topcaps ($20). Depends on my mood, mostly (to be quite honest ;) )

Any questions, any thoughts, please join us in the MAIN THREAD. Don't hesitate to jump right in and ask away. (or PM me, if you like)

thank you!
