Hello everyone and thank heavens i found you !

Bought a skycig on Saturday, four days ago. I haven't smoked much.
I am extremely disapponted in the kit, in short it is ....e.
I am sending it back.

I am however sold on vaping, and have done a bit of reading various forums.

I have narrowed down my choice to two kits,
Liberty Flights EGO T or the 510 T.

I want to order something tonight, so if anyone can offer some advice
on the two models i have found i would be very grateful.

Hello & welcome Rigel :)

The ego T will give you so much better battery life than a standard 510T. However, are you sure you want a T type? I've heard mixed reviews about them, so wonder if you would be better off going for a Riva/ego with cartomisers?

You are doing the right thing sending the Sky cig back though :)

Welcome Rigel8,

I have owned both models for some time. I will tell you from my experience, the ego is a much better pv, I personally bought the ego t, I liked it for a while but eventually bought some boge 510 LR cartos. I have to say I enjoy the cartos more. I still ocassionally use the tank. But found the cartos to deliver more flavor TH.

510-T not worth it IMO - most people switch to cartomizers anyway for everyday vaping. I also would never buy a 510 auto battery of any kind, but especially not 510-T auto kit because the real 510-T auto charger can kill all other 510 batteries. If you can find a manual 510-T you could try it (preferably Joye brand, second choice Smoktek I guess, and never ever FS510 which is a reverse polarity model). But I think 510-T tanks hold 1/2 what a Boge 3 ohm 1ml cartomizer holds (what most use on slim 510). Be aware 100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping with standard resistance single coil atomizer or cartomizer (all slim ecigs can use).

Re Ego-T - I think the nicest special thing about Ego-T is the 5-click enable/disable batteries which make it safer to pocket. I think at least 50% who buy Ego-T end up switching to cartomizers for everyday vaping.

If you get either, I recommend Joye brand, second choice Smoktek or SLB I guess, and never mystery brand

Welcome to ECF, Rigel4! You've come to the right place to answer your vaping questions.

I agree with Chrissie on eGo-T and 510T tank systems. I'm very much a futzing-around hardware wonk and I had constant problems with the tanks, especially leaking, loss of flavor and introduction of "off" flavors. May I encourage you to consider cartos instead? Boge cartos are about the most popular around. They're simple, reliable, and about as futz-free as anything else out there.

After that comes the decision on battery size. Check the mAh (milliamperes per hour) rating. Generally speaking, 100 mAh = 1 hour of vaping. Do you want to constantly replace and charge batteries during the course of a day? If not, then you might want to consider a starter kit like this one:

Joye eGo 510 - Standard Bundle

If you click on the "DISCOUNT CODES" link on the top of the page and follow the instructions, you get a 20% discount from an already respectably low price. I'd save the atomizers and cartridges (NOT the same as cartos!) for tasting new e-liquids and add to your order a couple of boxes of these:

Boge 510 Cartomizer

Liberty Flights also carries fairly decent e-liquids at fairly decent prices -- one stop shopping with one shipping charge!

Liberty Flights, by the way, features excellent customer service. (I have no commercial relationship with the firm. I'm just a happy customer with 17 orders with them.)

eGo-T batteries by themselves, especially the 1000 mAh size, are very good: I have six of them.

If I was you, I'd go for a Riva & cartomisers. Jason at vape Escape is a smashing bloke & has told folks that they can choose to have their starter kit supplied with cartomisers instead of the atomisers listed, when ordering from him -

The Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Use discount code "allabout" for 10% off & add a note asking for some Boge LR cartomisers & some Kanger LR cartomisers at check out. You will need some e-liquid as well & the Grizwald pick & mix juices are very high quality & a good idea if you want to try a few flavours to start with -

I wouldn't go with either of them. Why get a 3.4 volt model like the Ego when you can get a full 3.7 volt model like the Riva or E-Power, both sold by Liberty Flights. Plus they both come with bigger batteries (mAh) standard than the eGo. And they are both the same physical size. And of course, the E-Power batteries cost about $4 where as the eGo batteries cost around $15.

Rigel, most folks go through between 2-4 ml of e-liquid a day, some a lot more.

If you want cheaper juice (good quality but not as good on flavour IMHO) you can get 50ml from £10.70 -
Fuel (eLiquid, SmokeJuice) - Items - www.vapourworld.co.uk

That is really good Imho... £21.00 for 100ml of juice.

Also winfab i probs am one of the higher vapers , as was heavy smoker!
