Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but I thought it important to get visible.

Firstly, I have no idea whether other companies offer anything similar. According to this blog post, Prudential (USA) are offering life insurance to vapers and other smokeless tobacco users, which offer terms which will cut rates in half, providing there has been no smoking in the last 12 months.

If this is correct, it seems to me to be a rather big deal. Obviously, in a competitive market such as insurance, there will be offers made to keep ahead of the competition, but for a company like Prudential to offer such rates seems to me to indicate that they both understand the concept of, and have full faith in the concept of tobacco Harm Reduction.

What do you think?

My uncle's company will qualify him as a non smoker for his HEALTH insurance if he switched to vaping full time. He's only a part-time vaper, and believe me, i've tried to sway him from his cancerous ways, I think though my big vv/vw mods and rba's throw him off a little, which is odd as he is a tech guy by trade! He just can't give up the coffin nails, ah well...

This is great news. I'm curious if other companies are going to follow suit. I also wonder if the nicotine shows up in blood work because I know a few employers that will not hire anyone who smokes and they do pop testing.

This could also be amunition against regulating e-cig's like regular cigarettes and to show the medical community that it does make a difference.
