Theo, so sorry to hear about your daughter's situation. Hang in, and I'm sure many here will hope and pray that it is a treatable condition.
I wanted to post to say (and you've heard this before), "If I can quit cigarettes, anybody can quit."
This happens to be true. A couple of keys for the early stages of switching to ecigs that helped me:
1.) It has been said here---have multiple batteries and a charger available
2.) Have a couple of different kinds of juices available in a medium to high strength, maybe even a couple of packs of the pre-filled "cartos" (cartomizers). The pre-filled are very easy----just screw em on the battery and vape. No muss, no fuss.
3.) In the early days, if i was having a 'bad moment' (and I had VERY FEW......), lean on the vaping and the vapor more. Better to vape more than to turn to cigarettes. This is what got me through any 'rough spots' for sure. I had a couple of 'dizzy' episodes where I probably got a bit more nic than I was used to, but I did not feel any need to turn to a cigarette.
You should find that the vaping should eliminate the nicotine cravings, and best yet, with a choice of a couple different flavors. (I was around heavy smokers just days after I started vaping, and COULD NOT BELIEVE that I did not have any real craving for a cigarette. I just kept my ecig supplies very close, and that is IT!!!) It takes just a couple of days to get into the groove, then you're good to go. This will work for you if you let it. Say goodbye to the old way and welcome in the new way. That's all it is......
Hang in, and all the best. Sincerely hope all goes well for you and your family......
