Life time quality mod? Such a thing in a semi-disposable world.

I heard the provari boards were good for about 10 years of use or so..

That's what I'm counting on anyway..

I have 6 provari total for my husband and I, a couple regulated mods (going to get another one or two of those) and planning on a couple mechs to last out our lifetimes... but then we have 30 or so years to worry about unless we get hit by lightening or something.. lol..

You should store your spares in a safe deposit box in your bank. /nod. They aren't very expensive for what would effectively be insurance for your vape gear to protect them from theft, fire, and flood. Just don't leave any batteries in the mods or put any batteries in the box.

That is a good idea..

You can't go wrong with a REO if you want to squonk. Quality mod at a decent price and good customer service. It's a mechanical which I believe defines "in it for the long haul".

I totally agree Asbestos. I have a Reo Grand that I vaped for about a year and it's one tough mod. I gave it a wash in the sink with dishsoap once a month, cleaned the contacts gently and went back to vaping it. With spares like springs, the contact blade and maybe a couple of buttons, it's the mod I would want if I had to have just one for the rest of my life. About the only thing that can go wrong with it that can't be easily user repaired is if you damage the 510 connector, but that's true with all mods. And they are still in business and will repair that for a very reasonable cost.

If you don't want to squonk and you want a regulated mod, I'd recommend the Squid Industries Double Barrel. To me, it's a modern day ProVari at a steal of a price. 150w (of which I need about 30), bulletproof construction and an extremely simple, basic chipset. No bells and whistles....no TC...you can talk to it and give it hand gestures but it'll just ignore you . Just a button that's also a dial. Unbelievable battery life and great customer service. $89

I've never seen that one, it looks like a great regulated mod for dependability. I also don't think it would outlast a Reo, but for a non-squonk, regulated mod it's probably a very good choice for the OP

Buy 10 Eleaf Pico mods - - lifetime supply instead of lifetime mod.

I love the small size and the performance of mine. It's the best mod for me at the moment. One of them stays in my pocket at work all day with a DoggyStyle RTA on it. After a year of this and being dropped a few times on cement it started to misfire so I took it apart, unsoldered a wire, cleaned it and reassembled it. It's been faultless since.

I am currently holding at 3 Picos and two spare boards. I've got another one in my shopping cart at FT, but I'm reluctant to get it yet. I also have an old Kbox Mini that looks like it's been through a war that just won't die, so I have four ADV mods. Who knows, something else might come along in the next decade that suits me better :)

So where does one shop for boards? I would love for my Therions to out live me.

Not sure you can buy raw Lost Vapes boards. You may have to reach out to them directly. I know you can buy DNA boards, Yihi boards, and I think Eleaf boards. I don't know of any others.

Thank you but mine are 200/133 & 250/166. Not sure if they would fit.

You can buy both DNA boards directly from Evolve.

I bought boards for the Pico from FT. They are pretty cheap :)

ETA: Didn't realize your wattage wattage info was self explanatory

I'm not up on DNA boards Letitia. I seem to remember that the 166 watt DNA configuration uses the 200 or 250 watt board with two cells instead of three, but please check that out.

You can buy the DNA 250 directly from Evolve. I had a look at the spec sheet and they only mention the three cell setup, but there may be an option for 2 cells or it could be a different board.
Thanks, I'm guessing I can email them and ask what to order.

I changed my post Letia because I thought since you wrote "200/133 & 250/166" you know they use the 200 and 250 watt boards for all the power combinations. Is this correct, or did I get it right the first time o_O

I was told I couldn't upgrade the 200 to a 250. Something about screws maybe. Not sure that was 500 or so pages back on the shiny thread (so a couple days ago:lol:).

Dual is 133 or 166 using the 200 or 250 board. Called for the battery limitations not the board.
