First off this is not a provari debate. So I've been a vape head for a few months now. I like my ego pen style batteries with a t3s tank and I like my mvp2. These set ups work. If you can't respect a simple set up that works because it's not "the best" I'm certain there's a post elsewhere waiting for your 2 cents. This isn't it. My reason for leaning towards provari is: 1) great reputation for quality and durability. For the amount of time I spend vaping I want quality and I do not mind paying for it. 2) I want something relatively safe. Am I interested in a little cloud chasing? Absolutely! Do I feel ready/ willing to get a mech mod with sub ohms that can easily be a pipe bomb? NO! Best I can tell ( veterans correct me if I'm wrong) the provari can help you produce better clouds and better vape than my simple setup and do so much safer than the mechs. 3) Customer service. With the warranty and experience of others I feel confidant in that purchase. I'd rather spend 50-100 "more than I should" and know if there's a problem I can get it resolved. Many other mods if something messes up your slap out of luck unless you can fix it yourself, which I can not, and then I would be out of the cost of that mod. 4) shipping. I know that seems stupid but I HATE HATE HATE waiting on mail. Once a business has my money I want my product. I can handle a few days but waiting on stuff from china...Well everyday it feels like a small piece of my soul dies on a china order.

I'm certain there's other reasons, but that's all I got right now at almost 5am. If anyone has a logical reason to disagree with this purchase and has a suggestion that meets what I'm looking for I'll listen. But I'm primarily looking for opinions on a new tank and rda. A great bat and great juice with a bad tank or rda will be a bad vape. I have an octopus rda and I havn't been impressed thus far and I told my wife I would be spending a good bit, might as well add a tank or 2. The rda I mainly want for testing DIY liquid and some clouds at home. From a tank I want something simple for on the go and at work. I prefer smaller tanks 1.5-3ml typically. Also my liquid is almost entirely VG which is a deal breaker for some tanks. I don't do cinnamon and only mild menthols.

love this community and thanks for any input!

The provari is a great device, with a long track record of great customer service and suburb quality control.

But, don't expect a change in vapor quality or quantity when switching from the MVP to the provari.

Edit: RBA/rda suggestion:

Rda: helios clone, been using it for a month or so, easy to build on and good quality.

RBA: kayfun lite + or Russian 91%

Topacka nailed it.

The Provari is a great device that has amazing customer service. IMHO, it does warrant the price it sells at for the warranty and continued customer service it offers that its competitors do not offer at half the price. You will not be disappointed with the purchase.

However as Topacka said don't expect it to be an uber better vape. Generally your hear these comments about the provari vaping so much better when someone goes from a device that has a 33.3 hertz chip to the provari's DNA chip. Coming from the MVP however it probably won't be very different of an experience. This is where you have to look for that perfect topper and juice.

Excellent discussion, does any1 have a link to a really good vid or blog on where to start with the RBA game very apprehensive about how complicated it can all get?

v1ck.

I don't want this to get off topic but start looking in the RBA subforum. There are too many variables to a single be all answer for rebuildables. Different styles, gauge of Kanthal, single / double coil, wicking material etc.

It's rather easy after you try it but there is no simple answer for where to start.

I love my Provari. I haven't had one issue with it. I bought it because I didn't want to mess with a device constantly to work, have it break, and wanted something consistent. I get all that with my Provari. I'm not one of those that shoves Provari's down people's throat. To each their own. It just works out just the way I wanted. Hassle free.
