hello all, ive just gotten a rsst and built with cotton and think i like genny style atomizers. question i have is im a truck driver and wanna know if theres a genny style that can be laid down and not leak all over so i can enjoy vaping while working? or am i stuck w/ my pt2 at work. thanks

I have an RSST that can be laid down anytime and hasn't leaked if setup properly. I am using a SS rope/SS mesh setup in mine currently. I set mine up once with cotton and it would leak if it wasn't stood up. Sometimes it would leak if I was just holding it wrong. Couldn't carry it in my pants pocket because of it leaking so much. It would also vacuum release when ever there was an extreme temperature change going from out in the cold into a heated environment. It happened with the fill cap in and or out. Do yourself a favor and give the rope/mesh a go and you won't regret it... Whats the worse that can happen? I think your already in that spot!! Do yourself a favor and get a top cap reducer for it. It will really make a difference in the flavor of your vape. Fusions Mods, RSST-TCI $10.00

Most everyone's Genesis type atty's leak either through the wick hole or the fill hole. I keep the fill plug in my RSST and my wick fills the wick hole with very little room to spare. I have stood mine upside down overnight and it never leaked out. The black piece in my top cap is a reducer only. It actually fits in the top cap very snug and is hard to get out of there. It does what it's supposed to do and that's condense the vapor. The wick actually almost touches the top of the cap. There's about 1/16" clearance in there.

thanks for the suggestions, gonna look into a kayfun/91%. really want a reo mod, seems like that'd be the best overall. do the reo's leak if laid down on side as long as atty hole is upward??

I've laid my REOs in all kinds of weird positions......in my pocket in car fell on floorboard once and didn't realize it....never a leak in those regards.....sometimes i may over squonk though and some leakage happens but thats my own fault and not the devices fault at all

I had that problem with Vivi Nova tanks. They don't leak (as bad) when kept upright. I'm guessing you want to lay your PV in an overhead tray. Seriously don't. If they don't bounce out and bonk you on the head, that's just a nasty place that lots of dirt usually collects. Not a great place to stow your just-been-in-your-mouth-and-going-right-back PV IMO.

Go find a plastic cup that fits one of your cup holders exactly. Velcro it in place. Mine is multi-purpose. Pictured is my Provari with a Kayfun Lite Plus on it. This is the first trip with the KFL+. I usually do regional out & back trips. So far the tank will out run the logbook. So no worry about having to stop in order to deal with the fill process. Downside is if you're out for more than daily local work, you'll need to bring all the crap along to rebuild/re-wick on the road. That said, I built the one in the picture when I brought it home Thursday night and no need to do anything but top it off when stopped. So far it looks like a keeper LOL.

The upside to the Vivi Novas to me was that I can fill while driving, and must-be-parked maintenance is pretty limited to changing out the heads if needed. Otherwise fill & go for the most part.

redforeman- if i was in same truck everyday thatd work good, but i switch trucks.

krazirob- i really want a reo, think thatd be best option all around. gotta wait for money to come back after holidays though.

think im gonna buy a kayfun/ithaca??? clone at end of month. dont think i want a fogger, looks hard to build with the posts recessed in the cup.

I drive a truck part-time but I'm fortunate I have a 2014 KW T680 and there's a perfect spot on the center console where mod's sit at the perfect angle to keep the wick wet on genesis atty's.

Go for the Kayfun, I own both the Kayfun and a Fogger (2nd Fogger, I threw the first one out the window near Cortez, CO and my lovely juice barista gave me another as a While Elephant joke at Christmas). The Fogger is a PITA! When it works correctly it's fantastic but if your driving and it goes south then your stuck with your hands covered in juice and no atty to vape from. The Kayfun's on the other hand, once set up are almost bullet proof. They have as near a perfect vape as I have found IMO. I have not had a Kayfun go wonky on me yet no matter what I subject it to.

When I'm not in the truck I'm stuck in one of our planes and that presents new challenges as the pressure changes are so drastic and rapid compared to normal use that I have to be really careful which atty's I leave juice in or they just dump it out of every hole. Just last week we had a rapid depressurization and my trusty Iclear 30S which has never leaked decided it didn't like that and filled my NZonic with juice.

Some atty's don't like the rapid change just from cracking a window while others are not affected. Can't comment on Reo as I haven't got into the Reovolution................yet, still trying to wrap my head around something I have to "squonk" to vape :)
